Global Defense Initiative 0 Posted January 4, 2006 when i try to play renegade online it says Joining Game then it just doesent do anything...i cant get servers on WOL and when i try to set up a LAN game it finishes loading then quits....can anybody please help me??? Share this post Link to post

Sonic 293 Posted January 4, 2006 Could be something to do with your internet connection because to play Renegade on XWIS you don't have to make any changes to your computer or the game. Global Defense Initiative 0 Posted January 4, 2006 oh ok when i install the patch then go to join a server it says version mismatch....then i go to check my version in GSA and it says i have version 1.30...but i just installed 1037...what do i do?? Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted January 5, 2006 Forget playing on GameSpy Arcade. Stupid spyware crap program! Where did you download the patch from? I would uninstall Renegade. Then reinstall it to start clean installation of the game. Download an install the 1037 patch from http://www.cncnz.com/files/renegade/patches.shtml, Go to http://www.renguard.com and download RenGuard, the anti-cheal client, and install that. Make sure your firewall is set to allow Renegade past it. Start Renegade, choose multiplayer, click on Westwood Online (which is actually XWIS now) and you should be all set.
