Luk3us 63 Posted June 19, 2006 http://www.gamespot.com/ps3/adventure/meta...tml?sid=6150282 Being a huge fan of the almighty, MGS series. A movie would be killer, in my personal and totally unbiased opinion. Hopefully it won't be another one of those ****ty game > movie type conversions like so many that came before... W00t Movie. Sonic 295 Posted June 19, 2006 I call it jumping on the band wagon. Because there is a Halo movie and Splinter Cell movie in the works. Share this post Link to post
Woofna 0 Posted June 19, 2006 Somehow, I don't really want a CNC movie. It doesn't seem like movie material, I fear it'd get raped. StarCraft might make a good one. SC fans are too much of Nazis to let their series have any inaccuracies in the sequels, and since Blizzard made the first one and is still in place unlike Westwood, it's less likely. However, StarCraft: Ghost was looking pretty ****ed up. Ghosts had sniper rifles instead of C-10 Cannister rifles, Vultures had LASERs, the Marines' Gauss rifles looked all wrong, Firebats had rockets, they introduced a bunch of new vehicles like some ****ty jeep and a "Grizzly Fighter-bomber" which was WAY too good for there to be any balance, Mutalisks shot green globs of acid instead of their Glave Wurms, the Battle Cruisers looked all wrong ... beh ... I pay a lot of attention to detail in a game like StarCraft, and CNC. I know all the weapons and all the damage and whatnot by name. It kills me to see it all ****ed up for a FPS Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 6 Posted June 19, 2006 Actually I think a C&C movie would be neat if the director was a very heavy C&C fan. I think the martial is there, movie-based off of games are neat if done right. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted June 20, 2006 Well the game ---> movie thing has been done, but has YET do be done well. It will be interesting to see how these more heavy-hitting franchises do.... Share this post Link to post
Guest MadBadger Posted June 20, 2006 SNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!!!!!!!! Ima hoping it don't suck.... oh wait.... most Games into Movies suck..... :bang: CNC one wouldn't suck nessisarily..... if you wanted to watch 3 hours of base building and tank fights (no story.... just battles.... ) Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 20, 2006 I like that idea, bout no story just fighting. They can just expand those prutty CGI cutscenes to like mini movies or something. They'd be cool. Share this post Link to post
Guest MadBadger Posted June 20, 2006 No CGI.... just building a base.... PWNing the other one going to the next..... Maybe a bref like in Aftermath or Counterstrike Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 20, 2006 Yeah, I kinda don't think that would be very appealing to the general public though Badger... Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted June 20, 2006 I always though the Rainbow Six storylines would be good movies or even TV series. I liked the book although it is a bit long. Share this post Link to post
Renegangsta 0 Posted June 20, 2006 but if they like put mission briefs in and have ground based action like in renegade that would be decent Share this post Link to post

I liked the book although it is a bit long.R6 is rumored to be made into a film soon, along with Without Remorse. Im a big fan of Tom Clancys books, particularly the Ryan/Clark books, Ive read every one of them, oddly, Im not a big fan of any of the Clancy games. Share this post Link to post

I havent read many of his books but i want to when i find the time, their great. Personally i think the Rainbow games have gone downhill alot. 1 and 2 were good because of all the options you had in planning the mission Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 21, 2006 Meh, wasn't that what ruined Doom? Just bang bang no blah blah. Good point. what do you reckon the chanes are of David Haytor playin Snake in the movie? He's a voice actor and a script writer... I don't think he's an actual "actor"... Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted June 21, 2006 This is David Hayter, he looks nothing like Snake.... However, Eric Bana does.... kind of.... Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted June 21, 2006 To be technically correct, this is Snake... The "new" old version. Share this post Link to post

comander starlin 6 Posted September 6, 2006 i remember having this convo about MGS movie, and and idea of a C&C movie with Luk3us whay back when we had a Red Alert 3 Forum. and for a director john woo. :shot: Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted September 6, 2006 John Woo might be a little overly "actionly" for the movie. I mean there is meant to be a little steath in there. haha. Share this post Link to post
comander starlin 6 Posted September 6, 2006 ether ither if they stay away from the style doom was done it will be dam good Share this post Link to post
