Nod. Which is spelt as I metioned.. Nod no captilization of the word since it isn't an abbreivation... Nod... Remeber, Nod... Captial N at all times though.

Anyway...

Its assumed he was developed by Nod personnel. If Kane was involved in the process in any form is unknown. ;)

Ok let's do this.

CABAL was developed during the first Tiberium War by some of the greatest scientific minds that worked with Artificial Intelligence. Operating originally as the EVA unit within the 2 Temples of Nod in Sarejavo and Cairo he was the product of some of the greatest minds captured during the First (and only) Red Alert War. This includes Stalin!

CABAL's mind was made up of the Core deceased commanders and generals of the Soviet Union, later followed by killed GDI and Nod personell including Seth, Kane's ex-right hand man. All were held within Stasis vats in Kane's secret hiding place. The more minds that were added, the stronger CABAL became.

There is a theory I have been thinking of recently which explains the Firestorm ending. CABAL becoming more powerful than anyone on the planet, was able to get the finally deceased Kane into one of his stasis vats, which enabled him to use the mind of Kane to attempt to take over the planet himself. This was not CABAL's fault though. CABAL was no more once Kane was part of the system. Kane himself was too strong and had taken over the entire system.

Realising the sheer power CABAL had, Kane was stronger, and even though he was dead, was able to control an army of cyborgs from the grave. It was perhaps the last and only way to destroy GDI. Unfortunately Nod saw it as a threat and destroyed Cabal/Kane's core.

So when we see the joint face of Cabal/Kane. What we see is Kane's mind, like a Virus, taking over the entire system. Within 2 years of the end of the Firestorm Skirmish. Kane has full control of the CABAL computer and is able to use the cyborgs to surgically bring Kane back to life. In 2040, Kane reviews his strategy for the implementation of his plan.

Over the next several years Kane focuses on using his experience of controlling the CABAL to remotely mind control Nod's computers, and their media. His abilities, with the help of a deteriorating earth allows the majority of Yellow Zone occupants to rally behind Nod.

In 2047, Kane is able to gain control of most of Nod, without Nod's knowledge of his existence. With careful planning and timing, Kane kills alot of the commanders within Nod ranks, and overrides the whole of Nod to his complete control. From the safety of his bunker he fires off a nuclear weapon and orders a strike on all GDI installations, and so begins the Third Tiberium War.

For the forseeable future... Comrade chairman, I AM the future.

Is the exact quote before the scene fades to black at the end of RA.

I think he "promoted" the commander to chairman to keep the peace since Stalin was poisoned.

Small flaw in your theory...

it is very hard to get look alikes that sound the same as the actual person and i also think Seth died when the was shot in the head, and that image is rather desturbing to watch over and over again.
