Luk3us 63 Posted February 6, 2007 What a load of bull****. But at any rate there are ways of going about these things that don't need to be abusive. Pah, screw that, I'd be more than inclined to scream abuse at the moron. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted February 6, 2007 That teacher must be a member of the C&C community. Ya know the type I mean, a member of Gamereplays.org, or one of those types that troll the comments section of CnC Den. Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted February 6, 2007 Tell her that you didn't want to deny your classmates their right to a good education, then see what she thinks. Share this post Link to post
cyclepsycho 0 Posted February 6, 2007 So there IS a reason My parents decided to home school me. Share this post Link to post
Tree 0 Posted February 6, 2007 To question is to understand. This is how government school works. The teachers are there to lecture. Students are there to listen. Sit down, shut up, don't be an individual. That's standard, and it shouldn't happen. There should be an alternate way of measuring intelligence and worth to the world. Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted February 6, 2007 Too bad most teachers are uptight democrats who all have superiority complexes. Share this post Link to post
Wildshield 0 Posted February 6, 2007 So its ok to teach a class the wrong information. In fact toss out those school books since you dont need their insight. This teacher sounds like a child. Make your son understand... I had teachers like this. Good luck with this one. Share this post Link to post
Mario 0 Posted February 7, 2007 and what teachers really hate is you embarresing them when you know something is right and they think its something else Share this post Link to post
cnc_sage 0 Posted February 7, 2007 I don't mind disregarding authority, but I will accept it if it's reasonable(in my opinion). But yeah, everyone knows that the length of a mile is greater than that of the kilometer, except this teacher apparently. How did he even get this job? Share this post Link to post
Dr. Rodney McKay 0 Posted February 7, 2007 This guy sounds like a cult leader with the last line. Share this post Link to post
blodnukl 0 Posted February 19, 2007 i would also question how this teacher got his job? i mean even though he was right id like it if he let me fill there minds with lies so that they can later grow up to be idiots teachers like me. that what i heard but like they say those that cant...teach(i gess this guy cant do either) Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted February 22, 2007 of course....accept false teaching without resistance...Evolution... Share this post Link to post
Tree 0 Posted February 23, 2007 Evolution... Religion... But we won't get into that one. That is how public school children are supposed to act now. If children are thinking on their own, they must need to go to the counselor or something. Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted February 24, 2007 Teachers really need an education of their own. From teaching about disabilities to not keeping their left wing ideals to themselves to bus drivers who should not be allowed near children with the way he threatened them, during my years in education I have seen them get it wrong time and time again. Having a teacher teach a class of students who are not much younger than they are is a problem as well. Share this post Link to post
Heretic 0 Posted April 15, 2007 goddamnit i hate teachers who, i have a whole bunch of them, refuses to discuss just because they know im right. They plainly say that we are "children" and therefore we cant do things adults can. okay one rule i can agree with, and thats teachers drinking a cup of coffee under the lesson but the rest of our rules are just plain silly. like, for instance, we were talking about some new suckass rules we got and my chemistry teacher said : "we are grownups and can do whatever we want, you are kids and cant do what we can. we can (here i dont know what to call it in english but its when you tilt your chair backwards) tilt our chairs, and you will get punished for doing that. We can chew bubblegum and you will get 1 hrs detention for it." now, what kind of ****ed up **** is that ? and you know what reason they have for not letting us have bubblegum ? OVERWEIGHT. which has absolutley nothing to do with bubblegums ? and besides, whats the difference between an adult or a teen when it comes to tilting chairs ? why cant we all do that ? its like they did it just so they can have some lame reason for punishing us. i refuse to recieve my punshiments, i mean, wouldnt you ? (when i pursue the issue, they simply say "i cant take this right now" or "im too tired") and yeah, about teachers being wrong, they refuse to admit it. even though it wont get me anywhere i cant help myself to own them when i can. Next week i will bring a book about biology where it says WHY you get ... an aroused penis in the morning. i told my teacher but NOOO, im soo wrong.. i cant wait  Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted April 15, 2007 Both those things are personally reasonable. While your in the class your under their duty of care. There are many other reasons for bubblegum not being allowed aswell that are much more important. Share this post Link to post
Heretic 0 Posted April 15, 2007 ...There are many other reasons for bubblegum not being allowed aswell that are much more important. maybe, but thats the only reason ive heard from them. Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted April 15, 2007 If thats the only reason they are givving you chances are its a legal reason and they dont have a choice in the matter Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 15, 2007 Pah, its real simple for school. Just follow the rules and smile. Making waves doesn't serve to help you in the end. Sure that might sound defeatist and conformist like but meh that is how it is. Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted April 16, 2007 sounds like my math teacher last year, if you didn't understand a problem he just did it on the board again and said "o.k. now do you get it?" and half the time the kid didn't. Also some of the books I have had need to check their answers, half the time the problems we did in class last year the book got wrong and this super-genius in my class always got them right (but seriously this kid is gonna grow up to make the next nuke or something, maybe even re-invent the light bulb) and on the bubblegum issue my school can chew bubblegum in class (as long as the teacher doesn't specifically make a rule against it) Share this post Link to post
