Malevolence 6 Posted February 22, 2009 Processor: Intel Corei7 940 @ 2.93GHz (Hyperthreading on for "8" CPUs) It's a little wasted when Intel recently announced a beefed-up Intel Core i7 950 (3.06Ghz) to replace the 940 (2.93Ghz), in which both versions are at the same price. Monitor: 22" Widescreen (1680 x 1050) with speakers in it (I don't use those obivously) Keyboard: The cheapest but best keyboard Iv'e had (Labtec!) Mouse: The huge Microsoft Sidewinder. Malevolence 6 Posted June 29, 2009 Computer: Intel Core 2 CPU, 3.00 GHz (in all 6.00 GHz?), 3,25 GB of RAM Video Card: ATI Radeon 4800 Series. Hi there D14810, You do not get a 6Ghz by adding a 3Ghz CPU with 3.25GB ram. A 6Ghz can be acheived by extreme overclocking and well maintained water cooling or extreme cooling with liquid nitrogen and processors that can managed that is the Phenom II 955 Black Edition and I doubt even the latest Intel Core i7 975 Extreme Edition can achieve that. Lol. Based on the assumption, I can safely conclude that your ram is 4GB. The rest of the info is very vague. Say for example, you mentioned that your CPU is Core 2 series, is is a duo or a quad? Secondly, the graphics card, which series exactly? 4830? 4850? 4850X2? 4870? 4870X2? 4890? Another question to worry though, by placing your rig so near to that monstrous amplifiers, high chance you're gonna shorten your computer lifespan due to magnetic interference and so on. Anyways I've kinda made up my mind not to post my specs of my current state of my rig, its an embarrassment. Share this post Link to post

Guest Stevie_K Posted July 14, 2009 Thanks Malev. The pc was custom build for me, but I never opened it. I have no idea what exactly my graphics card is other than ATI Radeon 4800 wich it says. I have 2x 2gb Ram cards so I don't know why I wrote 2,25 Those are some whopping technics you've got there son. Bet they make a bit of noise Yeah, they are loud. The psycho next door bangs the wall when I have parties, he says his table is jumping I used to have 4 of them but realised 2 was more than enough so I gave them to my best friend. The best thing is that I found them. Can't believe someone didn't want them btw! they can output "the brown node" (for those who don't know, it is a sound wave that makes you feel like farting or even taking a crap Share this post Link to post

Everything is working in order, and I built the entire rig all by myself. I chose not to spend too much on video cards as I'm awaiting for the newer GTX 300 series, hopefully with DirectX 11 support. By then, my GTX 260 will be recycled as a dedicated PhysX card. There are several upgrade opportunities for me later, Upgrade A (Fans, fans and more fans!), or Upgrade B (SSDs and more HDDs). Sonic 292 Posted August 26, 2009 Do you really need that much hard drive space? I know large capacity hard drives are cheap these days, but why so much? Still, your money, your system. Looks good Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 40 Posted August 26, 2009 Games are eating more and more space these days so several large drives isn't surprising. Share this post Link to post
Malevolence 6 Posted August 27, 2009 Do you really need that much hard drive space? I know large capacity hard drives are cheap these days, but why so much? Still, your money, your system. Looks good Thanks Sonic. The 1TB hard disk is for backup. And I do require that much space as I have tons of files to work with. I'm serious. Lol. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted August 29, 2009 "Files" huh... ~2280gb of space is excessive though. The Razer Deathadder is a mighty fine mouse. Share this post Link to post
