Saracen 16 Posted March 20, 2007 It's finally around the corner and is released one week ahead of Tiberium Wars. Who has enough cash to flash to get this before Tiberium Wars. I do, and it seems an essential purchase! I know Sonic has been dying to get his hands on it for some time now. Share this post Link to post
Guest Auronguardian Posted March 20, 2007 I saw some pics of it and I find it... weird, but in a good way. And any game with destructible enviorments and a great physics engine is a game for me Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted March 22, 2007 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. looks pretty cool the storyline is supposed to be pretty good, well better than usual Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 6 Posted March 22, 2007 Yah I know you don't like illegal stuff admins but I am not telling them how to get it/where/etc etc I'm just saying THIS is how I try games that seem a little interesting to me to see if I should buy them. I torrented it. Crap specs you need for those grahpics... But whatever, thats not the reason I'm hating on it. I just don't like the look and movement of somethings... I also don't like the "big maps to do tasks" thing.. But thats just me! If you like that, GO BUY THIS GAME. Uninstalled the game and letting the torrent share then going to delete it aswell. Saracen 16 Posted March 23, 2007 I bought the radiation edition today and I quite like it. Some great single player elements, and the online multiplayer is quite decent. Finding it a little tough in areas though, it's a big old world out there. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 293 Posted March 24, 2007 I have to wait another 5 days for my copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R to arrive. Saracen 16 Posted March 25, 2007 Little tip Sonic for when you play, make sure you have enough food, anti-rad med kits or plenty of vodka in your posession when you play this game. Radiation is such a bitch, that even the slightest exposure will have you dead in no time. I'm really enjoying this post-apocalyptic sci-fi adventure game. Nothing worse than running into disruptions in the space time continuum and stuff, keeps ya on your toes! I'm really enjoying online as well. a 60 minute game goes through an entire 24 hour period, and when it's jet black, it becomes almost impossible to see. Really atmospheric especially when thunder storms start. One moment you're sneaking about in the night, next it's like the movie pitch black, you end up realising that you're surrounded by the opposition when the lightning lights up the night sky. Damn cool!! The bonus disc is sweet as well. Really goes in depth about recreating the area and features around Chernobyl. Share this post Link to post
Guest Auronguardian Posted March 25, 2007 And just in time, there is a CTRL-ALT-DEL comic that makes fun of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Also: 1000th post! WOOOOOO Share this post Link to post

JahSpoR 0 Posted April 5, 2007 Hay ppl's. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Is the absolute best game iv'e ever played. Yet i haven't found anything in it that i does not like. First I tried it at netcafé BoomTown for like two hours, and I loved it! I went to the mall and bought it. The things I love about it: -Hostile inviorment. -Radioactive objects. -The geiger counter that makes noises when you get near the stuff. -"Living World" (ill dogs tearing dead bandit appart near a wrecked car) -Help a someone and be their friend. Shoot someone and make enemies. -Theire russians (I just love them for an unknown reason) -Most excellent graphics iv'e ever seen for a first-shooter ever. -ZOMBIES! yes they are there! and theres a whole town of them! yehoo! -The whole theme makes my brain tickle ^^ And muuuch more! In singleplayer Iv'e reached 1# on the rank. Im a "Freedom" member. "Duty" guys must die! "Bandits" "Loners" and "Mercs" are okay... wait. "Monolith" is drunk bitc*tes and must die" Ive cleared almost every task I have recieved, including working for "Duty" for a period. I dont know if you have seen it, but in the start there is this bridge where "Military" guards, and they want 500 RP to let you trough, ofcourse I slaughtered them, but it is details like this that I relly like. I later ran into some "Loners" that where sitting near a fire, drinking vodka. I came to a scrapyard where "Freedom" guys was shooting bandits. Near a lake, I saw two bandits with my scope, the one was dead and the other was sitting, playing a sad melody on his brown guitar. For some reason I felt bad for this guy. Now bandits are neutral to me. They can be good anough some times. I killed "Scarecrow" wich was the earlier number 1# Stalker. His fellas now respect me ^^ Near a border "Freedom" guys is struggling to keep off "Monolith" from attacking. I traveled to the zombie zone where I got some tasks from a "Scientist" in an "anti-radiation / anti-zombie penetration bunker" On the way out a zombified bandit is laying on the road squirtin around, I finished him and moved towards the road to Chernobyl. *all this is the reason why I love this game. It actually have multiple endings though it in some way doesnt has any ending. Share this post Link to post
