Sonic 292 Posted April 20, 2007 If your new to using Worldbuilder, meaning you never used the C&C Generals/Zero Hour Worldbuilder, it is recommended that you start by reading through the detailed help file the is included with the download of the C&C 3 Worldbuilder. To access this detailed help file browse to the following folder on your computer, assuming you installed C&C 3 to is default location and you have already downloaded and installed the C&C 3 Worldbuilder: Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3\Worldbuilder Manual.rtf There is also the C&C 3 Worldbuilder read me file that has some important info as well: Program Files\Electronic Arts\Command & Conquer 3\Worldbuilder README.txt Share this post Link to post
gremmers 0 Posted April 22, 2007 I've created a map but can't get it to appear in the list of ingame maps. I have followed all the steps in both the readme and the manual. Could some one tzlk me through exactly how and where they save their file to? The manual quotes menus that don't exist, such as the 'Solo Play' menu, and the 'User-maps' section. Any help would be appreciated! Share this post Link to post

Sonic 292 Posted April 22, 2007 I've created a map but can't get it to appear in the list of ingame maps. Make sure you setup the player start points. Do this by placing waypoints down and then setting them to Player1_Start etc..... Share this post Link to post

I think I know how to fix it and I am going to test it, but I wish I knew the default value EA used. Edit > Edit map settings > Camera behavior Now for the maxium I set it at 400 and I am just now going to test my map. The default for this was 300, but it was way to close. spitfire apo 0 Posted August 30, 2007 My map is almost finished but I have a problem with the tiberium fields. If i set the height of the terain the same as the field, i can put the growing buildings of the scrin on it. But then you can't see the crystals is hole in the field. So I lowerd the terain, and set the Z position higher of the tiberium field. Now i can see the crystals like it should, but i can't place the growing buildings of the scrin on it anymore. I saw it on a map of someone else, that the guy somehow deleted the terain under the fields position, on his map he can see the crystals and build the growing buildings of the scrin. I am searching for weeks how to do that, I think it's simple once you found how to delete the terain under the fields, but I really can't find it. Can please someone tell my how to do this, because I'm really getting pist of about this isue :s It's the only thing that stops me to finish my map. PS: sorry for the long explanation but i didn't know how to tell it otherwise. Share this post Link to post

BlyTwo 0 Posted October 13, 2008 (edited) My [C&C3 Clan] website is soon to have the most worldbuilder info on the net in one place (my signature link) I will have screen shots and descriptions on how to do almost anything with worldbuilder, after you read it all you can begin mixing things up and make it your own Oh and BTW: My map is almost finished but I have a problem with the tiberium fields. If i set the height of the terain the same as the field, i can put the growing buildings of the scrin on it. But then you can't see the crystals is hole in the field. Scourge 0 Posted July 4, 2010 Hi, Let me strat off by saying: I'm new here. I have read through most of the manual yet. and building a map is going quite nicely (for a starter) however I am aiming my current project to be a red zone 3 player map. And there are some official maps where all units look gloomy in-game. 've downloaded the map called: "Tiberium Crack" which has this feature aswell. however, I've looked on everything having to do with lighting but I can't seem to get that gloomy shine on my stuff. I was wondering if someone here could tell me how to get that done. Thanks Share this post Link to post
ApornasPlanet 9 Posted August 2, 2011 I must have placed the context window someplace unreachable and its really annoying since I need it. I cant configure the waypoints without it or choosing objects and textures for that matter. Is there a keyboard shortcut to get it to appear at the middle of the screen or something? Context Windows - Depending on what tool is selected, a Context Window appears in which you configure the settings of the tool or the object you are placing. It didn't help to reinstall WB, so I need to find another solution. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 292 Posted August 2, 2011 You mean the window is hidden off screen and can be clicked and dragged? You could try temporarily changing your screen resolution to a larger one, locate the window, move it the centre of the screen, change back to your native resolution. Share this post Link to post
ApornasPlanet 9 Posted September 30, 2011 (edited) Ok, sorry for the dubble post. I need help with some scripting for a custom mission. Where am I most likely to get help? Which is the most active cnc3 map making forum? Edit: Is it possible to extract and open the official SP missions in WB? I have tried but I always gets an error when I try to open the missions. I have extracted the sp core with final big. Doesn't work. Edited October 4, 2011 by ApornasPlanet Share this post Link to post
KakmanGR 0 Posted December 27, 2015 Hello, I used the Worldbuilder to create a map for me and my brother to play against AI in Network. I think I followed all the steps on the WB manual, and I saved the map in the correct folder. When I start the game, I don't find the map in the "Scirmish" category, but on the Custom Maps one. So when I try to launch it, I dont have the option to select the players and their teams or their factions. When the game loads (it has the default campaign loading screen) I can see nothing but a black screen and the GDI's UI with an unavailiable minimap, with starting Credits at 1500. The screen is black and I cant navigate through the map, nor actually see the map I made, but just black. I am obviously doing something wrong... am I close enough, or not? Prodigy 2 Posted December 27, 2015 It seems that you forgot about adding player start positions. Add waypoints and change them into player1_start, player2_start etc... Share this post Link to post
KakmanGR 0 Posted December 27, 2015 It seems that you forgot about adding player start positions. Add waypoints and change them into player1_start, player2_start etc... Thanks for replying, I added 6 waypoints and named them exactly like you said :| Is there something else I have to do with waypoints except naming them, cuz the manual doesnt mention anything else... Prodigy 2 Posted December 27, 2015 (edited) You don't have to Name them, you can select the player_start stuff from the dropdown menu in the options window. Edited December 28, 2015 by Prodigy Share this post Link to post
Egozi44 27 Posted December 28, 2015 (edited) How about you will try to see the guide in gamereplays for WB? There are also few (3-2 I think xD) good mappers who offer help for anyone who ask or open thread there Zypherbullet (user) mostly active there and help people out when they in pinch Edited December 28, 2015 by Egozi44 Share this post Link to post
