What's The Longest You've Gone without playing an RTS?

Here's an interesting question.

 

Well for me it's been almost 3 months.

 

I stopped playing C&C 3 on April 1st of this year, and then for some insanely retarded reason, which I'll never be able to explain for the life of me I went back to playing a Skirmish in C&C 3 on June 28th. But then I stopped playing again because I realised how utterly **** it still was!

 

The result however has been quite inspiring for sure. while I have lost all my RTS skills and find it tough to complete any RTS game without going to easy difficullty. The Genre has felt fresh to me again. Although I will not really dig into another RTS until Universe at War.

 

I think when that comes out, I can start the Genre again properly with an open mind. And it won't be too long anyway. The advantage of being within the Petroglyph Staff Circle means I will be playing the game once it goes Beta, and then I can end my drought on a high note with a game that (by media standards) Kicks ass!

 

So how long have you gone without playing an RTS game?

i played generals (original) last week, but it had been months before that

6 months (last year) until i have new laptop.

been loaded it with C&C3, 1st decade pack, WC3 -DOTA, Worm World Party, Diablo 2 & some from Pop Cap games & Big Fish games

During 2004 - 2006 I didn't play many RTS's, I played a little AOE III and some other things, but not very steadily. I played other games, like Adventure and action and err, RPG type games.

hmmmm well like 2 years, the first 2 years I had a laptop and some independence, I played stuff more like mmorpgs and FPS still can't wait for Hellgate: London to come out it will be pwnage
