Azrael 0 Posted August 27, 2007 Exactly. In Hebrew, Nod means "to wander", so the bible meant that Cain was not banished to land called "Nod", but rather, banished to wander for all eternity... It was also stated that Cain expressed his fear of being killed by other people, and so God placed a mark on Cain, stating that "Whoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be upon him sevenfold". But, it was said that God puts the mark on Cain as a sign to others that Cain should not be killed until he has had seven generations of children. Lamech his descendant thought that the mark was passed down to him and also that it multiplied, in Genesis 4:23-24, he confesses to his wife that he killed two men (possibly one) and that if his grandparent Cain was protected seven times then he should have it seventy seven times. It is interesting to note, that after Kane was supposedly killed during the First Tiberium War, GDI faced multiple disasters of their own, first and foremost was the destruction of the Philadelphia.
