DF-Dom'93 0 Posted November 12, 2007 Hey guys. i just joined like a few minutes ago, and i need to know if there is a way to play zero hour on Vista. I have a friend who's friend has this game and he plays it on Vista. Ive tried compatibility mode, both from the game and from the Vista compatibility wizard, and ive updated the game with the 1.04 patch, but it sitll doesnt work. Any ideas? Sonic 294 Posted November 13, 2007 As far as I've heard Generals/Zero Hour installs and plays fine on Vista PCs. My only guess would be that there is something else installed on your computer that is preventing Zero Hour from starting. Apart from Vista what are your system specs? Do you get any error messages when you try to start the game? Share this post Link to post
DF-Dom'93 0 Posted November 13, 2007 The only other things that i could possibly think of that could do this are my firewall, which is Norton, and has never troubled me in the past, and Norton Internet Security. Other than that all i have on this comp is maybe one or two more games. My specs are: (As According to my Welcome Center) Windows Vista Home Premium Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E6750 2.66GHz 2.00 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS Anything else about the specs are a mystery to me. And no, i dont get any error messages. The game will start up and do the small blue windowed Zero Hour logo, and then the window will go away as it normally should, but nothing else happens. I have a suspicion that it has something to do with my game.dat, seeing as when i pull up my task manager, that process runs at the window, and when the window dissapears, so does this process. Edit: I do have project raptor installed. I am reinstalling to see if this was the problem. Share this post Link to post
