Doctor Destiny 41 Posted February 10, 2008 What kind of moron store has the game discs in the box on display these days? I mean really? WalMart. Best Buy. Target. etc. I can go on all day but display copies are for crappy stores with no cameras. Share this post Link to post
mormreed 0 Posted February 10, 2008 it's funny that you get in way more trouble for torrenting a game (if they catch you) than if you go to the store and steal a physical copy , I couldn't find the penalties but it's something ridiculous Share this post Link to post

JahSpoR 0 Posted February 11, 2008 very close to impossible if you are using wireless internet that comes from the whole neighbourhood (many many people in this case). They can't come closer to you than the wireless router, and if it ain't yours and no one knows that your'e using it. It can be quite difficult to find you. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted February 11, 2008 (edited) Finding your address at all may be difficult, especially considering privacy and stuff. Edited February 11, 2008 by Inferno Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted February 12, 2008 you would be suprised.... Actually, not really F15.Let's fix that: You would be suprised how easy it is for people to find you. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 6 Posted February 12, 2008 But not impossible Nothing is impossible, so that really doesn't make me consider the possibility of getting caught. Share this post Link to post
Dr. Rodney McKay 0 Posted February 12, 2008 I know exactly what you were saying F15, and so my previous statement is still valid: Not really. It's not easy to find someone's address. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 13, 2008 Pah, most companies will only threaten you with legal action, most will not bother actually taking it to court, as it costs more money than its worth. Especially when you get into issues such as international jurisdiction, and more over the usual, "iffy" ways they managed to identify you.... Share this post Link to post
Dr. Rodney McKay 0 Posted February 13, 2008 I'm amazed to find myself agreeing with Luk3us. Share this post Link to post
Koen 2 Posted February 13, 2008 I've gotten a few games of of GamersGate recently. It's an OK system for game distribution, just login to your account and download the game; it's OK to install it on 2-3 machines as well. So all my machines can get a copy - without requiring a disc in the drive Share this post Link to post
Guest Anti-Marine Posted February 18, 2008 I Buy the games because I dont want the law on me. lol. If its like a hard game to find maybe. Share this post Link to post
