Sonic 292 Posted February 22, 2008 Hagren, from our forums, has sent us a list that summarises some of the information from PC Gamer's big preview of Red Alert 3. Some interesting things here.... Grid based building Each campaign has 8-10 missions (3) Stringrays secondary mode: Electric blast Hell March will be updated The Allied Cryo copter flash-freezes enemies and is able to shrink them in secondary mode The allied Mirage tank disguises itself as enemy vehicle and an energy bubble hides all friendly units within The apocalypse tank is able to "suck in" troops with magnets to grind them No prism, but chrono tech for the Allied Conscripts can throw Molotov cocktails Co-op campaign can be completed on your own as well Polar bears for Soviets There are some photos from the PC Gamer magazine posted here on the Official C&C Forums. Gben 20 Posted February 22, 2008 Love the Kirov... I mean *love* the Kirov. Shame it's so hard to read the article. Shedding tears for no prism technology... Hell March updated... but by *WHO* Do you think the man-gun is like related to man-boobs???? (is anyone else getting duplicate email notifications?) Share this post Link to post

rEdaSbLood 1 Posted February 22, 2008 you think since CnC3 wasn't the type of 'serious' we were looking for that, INSTEAD, we look towards RA3 to fulfill that dark storyline Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted February 22, 2008 you think since CnC3 wasn't the type of 'serious' we were looking for that, INSTEAD, we look towards RA3 to fulfill that dark storyline Don't get your hopes up. And finally those wretched prism devices are gone! Death to the Allied dogs! Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted February 22, 2008 You'll regret those words commie - when I shrink you to the size of my allied dogs lunch! Share this post Link to post
recover 2 Posted February 22, 2008 Thinking that EA are about to update Hell March, it's most likely they have already put together the team who will make the rest of the music If that's true, no Frank Klepacki Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted February 22, 2008 Like all the old C&C's had. You couldn't just build exactly where you want, so instead we will see the classic "block" type plan on a "grid" before the structure is placed. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted February 22, 2008 It makes it easier to place structures down, instead of what you had to deal with in C&C3.... And lol.. Bears for the Soviets huh... So much for a serious game. haha Share this post Link to post
hagren 0 Posted February 22, 2008 For everyone of you: Its not a serious game, it follows RA2s footsteps. And in my opinion, thats great Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted February 22, 2008 It can follow in the footsteps or RA2 all it likes... I don't really have much of a problem with that. But I hated RA2 for 2 main things... the story (which was poorly written even from a humoour side of things) and the gamespeed. The latter is addressed, and that I'm happy about. Providing the story is well thought out and the humour isn't too OTT, I think we're all good to be honest. I think if the level of humour that David and Raj provide would be just perfect. It's humourous, laugh-worthy, and they don't look like they're trying to be funny. That was the problem with RA2 in my opinion, the humour felt false, and I didn't like that.
