Tiberian Dawn - Single Player missions
Heavylobster replied to Chimas's topic in Command & Conquer / Covert Operations Maps & Modding
Hi, I've been playing some of these recently and got a couple of comments: SCB207EA seems very easy because of Mobius's tendency to wander around. I did not even have to enter the GDI base, just drove over him with a stealth tank and mission accomplished. Maybe seal him in a gdi base somehow? Also disabling nukes might be a good idea to prevent you simply nuking him to death. SCB208EA has some bugged tiles in the map. See this screenshot, cannot miss them: http://heavylobster.com/pics/command_&_conquer-2012-10-19-13_11_44.png SCB903EC - too much starting money here, I think. 500k is WAY overkill imo, you essentially do not have to worry about tiberium at all here. Also the GDI base is very prone to traffic jams here. Look at the state of their harvesters here, for example: http://heavylobster.com/pics/command_&_conquer-2012-10-19-13_30_11.png Maybe see if the base could be cleaned up a bit? SCB205EA - GDI gets frequent reinforcements with transport helis here. That's all fine, but it seems most of them just stay where they landed instead of attacking or doing anything useful. Some of them, however, attack. Maybe look into this? SCB159EA - it seems I can only build power plants and nothing else in this mission. Probably not intended! SCB199EA - this seems impossible. You are supposed to protect the temple at the NW corner, but some seconds into the mission, it gets airstriked and you lose. I haven't figured out any way around that. SCB181EA - I think there is something belonging to GDI offscreen here. I cleared the map of all the GDI I could see, but didn't get the mission accomplished. So I fooled around a bit, and decided to airstrike the NE corner of the map, and indeed heard what sounded like an explosion, followed by mission accomplished. And I did not actually see any GDI at the NE corner at the time. That's all for now! Thanks a lot for providing these packs, I love 'em! -
Hi, just had a crash. Instruction at 00498f6b, referenced memory at 0000004b Happened when playing the Need for Speed mission from Solo's mission packs (Nod mission #212), seemingly at the exact moment when I completed the construction of a stealth tank. PC details: Windows 7 64 bit, Intel Celeron P4500 (dual core @ 1.87 GHz), 3 GB of ram, video card's Intel HD Graphics, and C&C is at 1.06c r2

Huge C&C1 Singleplayer mappack

Ah, so the MCV is supposed to go somewhere and then you win? That explains the allied MCV that was doing nothing in my base, probably had something in the way -

Hi, Could you take a look at SCB136EA (No Limits)? I've a feeling it's uncompletable or there's some hidden objective. I destroyed pretty much everything I could find in the map, but I'm still not completing it. -
I am using the intel drivers. Other games work fine (well, as fine as you can expect from an integrated GPU)
-
It's a laptop, dual core Intel Celeron P4500 @ 1.87 GHz with the integrated Intel HD Graphics. Must be the GPU that's the problem because as I edited in my earlier post, the software rendering works perfect.
-
Just tested the latest one and it was still slow, found a couple of bugs as well, guess I'll report 'em at some point Edit: Actually I tested some more and the software renderer works perfect, it's just the default OpenGL one that's slow for me.
-
Well on my setup, cnc-ddraw gives me unplayably low fps. I poked hifi about it on IRC quite a while back, and he said he can't really do anything about it due to my hardware being lacking or some such.
-
Relatedly, I'd like to know if it'll be possible to disable CnC-DDraw in the next patch?
-
Thanks for the fix Would you take a look at SCB113EA (I mentioned it in this thread on the last page) as well?
-
I meant that an airstrike could've been destroying power plants at the time Edit: And the destruction triggering those chinooks which then crash the game.
-
I don't know if I blocked anything (I certainly didn't on purpose) And no, I wasn't attacking at the time. I guess it'd be possible that there was an airstrike going on, but I wasn't paying attention to such at the time so I don't really know..
-
Another one. Instruction: 00498f6b Referenced address: 000a8df3 This happened to me when playing the GDI Airbase campaign from Solo's pack. As it's a campaign I don't know the exact mission name but I can say that it's SCG160ED. As for how it happened, I was simply moving the camera to my base after taking a look at Nod's, at which point it simply crashed. Pc details: Windows 7 64 bit, CPU is Celeron P4500 (dual core @ 1.87 GHz), 3 GB of ram, GPU is Intel HD Graphics.

[split] Rename of CCSetup to CCSettings

You can find it from task manager -> performance tab -> Resource Monitor button. -
Just had the same error again on the same mission, this time I hadn't yet done anything with the turret and was just moving my tanks onward, in case it helps
