Well I don't know how old this thread is but, my view, to start play all the USA sides, vanilla usa has normal tanks, laser has laser tanks, but the others have other abilities that are pleasing without any tanks. Once u get the hang of the USA, get into China. The usual idea is building tanks and get a couple of overlords once the propaganda centre is up. And make a bit of infantry to go with them or into bunkers. Nuke General is the best chinese general, don't listen to madbadger, he just plays the game 24/7 so hes all ghey about it. "Aw, u noob, u shouldn't build bunkers cause thats noob." Makes no sense cause there's nothing logical to his 'speeches'. "Gonna break one of my rules now. Use Stealth Bombers on tunnels" yeh no sh--, i already knew that, thats why its called bunker buster. Once you master China, use GLA start with normal GLA and then depending what strategy u use, try the other generals.

only problem with p-cannon is u need to look at it to direct, whereas, the others u can just set it and get back to building units. but i dont seeem to care about that, 'cause i love to watch ppl get scudded or nuked, or both.

unles ur playing gla, u dont need to wipe out they're defences to get in. go around the side where there arent any units guarding it. make sure they're stealthed with rocket pods ready, position ur squads and then make a distraction. especially against usa, i use 7 missile defenders and pathfinder, either on ground or in combat chinook. against china, send a few rocket filled humvees in with follow up missile defenders and pathfinder for the bunkers. i hate playing against chinese bunkers. after distraction, release rocket pods on power, barracks, war fact and supplies. against gla, just send a single pathfinder in to take out stinger sites and AA infantry. well jonny did come here and call most of the online users noobs, but, he has a point. though, i'm not a noob. the times i use auroras are when i have plenty of money or if i'm playing against a friend on lan network and i feel in the mood for pissing them off. i aint some noob, like generalz said too. and i use colonel burton and demo kell and black lotus against noobs and friends i like to piss off.

Thanks for saying that ever though i already said it Yeh, i never have more than 4 auroras, thats just noob. But while ur SW general, they're cheaper (2k not 2.5k) and they do more damage(x1.5 unless u use MACINTOSH!, they are my fav air unit, doing twice normal amount in primary and secondary explosions, so if u annhiliate a us powerplant, u'll also send the rangers inside sky-high). I'll see if i can get a pic or video.

we went off topic. but before someone would like to set us back on course, my computer: takes 2 minutes to load a skirmish, takes 15 minutes to arm a SCUD storm, and gets slower as my forces increase

yeh, go badger, yeh! cheer squad everybody. i dont care what u think cause i'm not a noob. auroras r good to take out key areas on the battlefield and like u said, 2 gat tanks can take out an aurora. but hey, that'll take down a raptor too, because u cant block a bullet with a laser. u use auroras on buildings that are the wall between u and an effective invasion, such as a powerplant iif there are heaps of base defenses or a gat cannon if u have heaps of infantry waiting to attack. they are sometimes only one time hitters, but a few are good for ur force. ur not a noob if u use em, its just like using awps in counter-strike. ur only a noob if they're make up more than one third of ur entire force. after all it is an official unit of the game.

Yeh, I had the saving problem. Its because I tried to save a game without installing the data to the hard drive. I was playing off the CD (yeh i have generals for mac) And the failed saving is probably the same but it also did that for me once when i had about 5000 songs on my computer.

u think ur computer is slow... my comp is loaded with around 4000 songs and it lags like a bitssh

yeh, u guys who use the lock are pro. i always use it, on tank groups of 1 to 3, but 4 or more, i let them do their stuff by themselves. on nooks, i never really thought of because it never really happened to me.

ur right but as long as u have more than 1 airport, it wont take as long to upp em. And rushing with a combat chinook is easy against gla and usa, because they only have missile defences ready at that point. they havent had time to build avengers or quads. stinger sites and patriots r no use against a chinook and its laser point defense esp. if u fill it with misile defenders.

Raptors are good, dont get me wrong, but i think its better for a helicopter of somesort. Raptors are one hit, then reload, and that for ppl is time to reset up their base. Helis dont go away for reloading. Comanches rocket pods or combat chinook loade with missile defenders does the job.

I suggest u turn down the speed so u have better reaction time. i played on a fast computer at speed 60 and couldn't win against a medium army (not that i lost either). You absolutely need to turn money onto either $10g or $20g, not $50g or $5g. You'll either get owned by their exceptionally fast growth and attack or you'll be down on defences. Try to rush them. Don't let them set up defences. I personally like to use AF General for a perfect rush with a combat chinook. I play against USA normal or superweapon, GLA Anything and never China. If they manage one gattling cannon ur game is immediately harder.

AF General has the best rush. Works on every general apart from Infantry, where u may ONLY reduce your opponent to a power plant. the only time it would fail is if ur playing a human china general who likes to set up defence first. Setting up a chain gun straight away might save them but u can always approach from the back of their base and work down their power. All u need is 1 combat chinook with 8 missile defenders. build em as fast as possible. once u've begun to rush em, its an idea, you should possible load one with rangers/colonel burton, or if u get enough powers, missile defenders and 2 pathfinders. its better against USA.

Yeh, ur right, anyway i think nuke migs ARE fair. They can easily been taken down by gattling tanks, avengers, whatever u choose, and when they're not, its funny to watch Overlords do 720 degree spins in mid-air.

Wat r u even replying too? No one mentioned sw general and besides, she may be bloody sh?t but shes really fun to use in the odd skirmish here and there. And shes really good against tank general. really good. Also, infantry cost the same, u save money o power, defence costs a touch more, alpha auroras cost $2000 compared to the normal aurora which costs $2500. rebuilding isnt too hard unless ur a noob.

Unless ur opponent is laser, they must be really n00b. they should use tomahawks to destroy ur multiple defences, and then roll in the comanches and rockvees. Works like a charm. In return, maybe u should counter them by sending in a colonel burton, possible anthrax bomb, sneak attack, paradrop, tankdrop, carpet bomber, MOAB/FAB, etc. that should take a few planes down, STEALTH COMANCHE (works like a charm on grounded aircraft). *Rockvee = Rocket-filled humvee

Back to the command centres, its good if u sell ur command centre and then rebuild a fake one in the same place. Build a completely fake base in ur original starting position except for maybe an arms dealer where u should despense quad cannons and stuff. Then guard it with 2 stinger sites and a tunnel or so. After this go build in a completely irrelevant position, hopefully not in the enemy's route to ur old base. Its good to see them send their whole force against just a few stingers, few quads and a fake base. Thats when u make ur move. Oh and, when playing as US AF against China, please, for the love of god, stay away from the gattling tanks and cannons. this goes for avengers, laser defence turrets, mini-gunners and quad cannons. Use auroras to take care of gattling cannons and stealth fighters/pathfinder for the others.

I’ve played this as Airforce with two other friends and found that beating infantry is alot damn harder than beating a toxin general, and vice versa.
