Command & Conquer 4 in the #1 Spot Again

I can't believe many people are still deceived by this. Whether if it's in Europe or Asia or anywhere, sales will always be fixed. Once a deceived customer buys the so called "good" game, but when they play it and find it purely bad. There will be no such thing as a refund at the game retail shop. *facepalms* Oh the humanity! You EA, you really know how to suck out money out from our pockets, out from people who have no idea behind your bad game. In the long run, I'm sure you'll have lesser customers as in the future they'll become smarter, most of all, lessons learned.
  2. Hell yeah! It's Kane! Better than the last episode anyways, and I have my reasons why.

Sam Bass on the EA Podcast

I just read that small news since I don't have time to listen to the podcast. No way, not because I'm a big C&C4 hater which I'm sure you all remember, because I'm pretty darn busy with my jobs again. Anyway, if those connection keeps on fluctuating and causes SP to become unplayable and cannot save player progresses, then how about those MMO games that can save those profiles? What if there's a disconnection happened during gameplay and then either reconnect itself or disconnect permanently until you restart your modem? And yes, Steam is the solution for this game, but too bad the dev team didn't thought of that earlier on.

Command & Conquer 4 Tops Sales Charts

I don't think so, experimental or not, money is what they're aftering. And they're only using us & our pocket money like fuels, once we're heart-broken, they'll find new customers to replace us.

Command & Conquer 4 Tops Sales Charts

Ouch! It may hurt me as well as any of the many other WW fanboys. But still, I'm wondering, how about Supreme Commander 2? Did it sold well but could not make it into the Top 10? Too bad MW2 released earlier, so I don't think the sales will count in.
  6. Well IPCC, they have to be honest about the other people's connections from the entire world, they should not test it only in their own home country, that will be r****t and it's not cool. I've seen some other poorer countries with very low end connections and still can't cope with the slow downs, not to mention some people may use Wifi or Wimax services (Range type of ISP), even if the game only uses small amounts of kbs. Sure, C&C4 uses a few kbs, but in-game data will not be saved when your connection fluctuates or disconnects without your knowledge. They should test it at 56k all the way to the highest end broadband, NOT from lowest end broadband all the way to the highest. Piracy prevention is only meant to protect their sales from losses, all of these preventions only waste more money than not applying preventions at all. Sigh, if only we were back in the good old days when these piracy problems are not taken very seriously.
  7. I sure hope too, Purplescrin. Let's hope they finish it with a big bang as they said, we hope to expect this promise rather than a smallest puff of wind like C&C4.
  8. I beg your pardon on that admin edit, I DIDN'T indicate a single name of a pirated software, I was just talking about the ways how did people fix their online authentication problems, Norton is a genuine anti-virus software and it features a firewall system. And I own one which is a GENUINE version! So read carefully first of what I was talking about, if you don't believe me, try the firewall method for yourself. EDIT : Fine, whatever! I know you're smart not to know about it. So I have no further comment.
  9. There will always be pros and cons, no anti-piracy system is perfect. Sure, whatever something new or more sophisticated is in place, it will cripple them only for a short while, then they'll find a way to get around it. Similar to Windows 7, upon release and no matter how upgraded it'll be, hackers will continue to do whatever it takes to bring terror into our hearts.
  10. Valve also did once with their CEG (Custom Executable Generation) on Steam last November, but sadly, the game like Left 4 Dead 2 which applied that anti-piracy system also got cracked. It was effective but only cripple the pirates just for a month until they finally break through it. As for the whole online thing, I don't know what to say, but if they're trying to make the game to follow more of an MMO system which you need to be required online, then I know some people may still not like it. Malevolence & I agreed the idea for using the best of both worlds which also means a separate account of offline & online, but that just declined as well. But I know, it'll only require a few kbs of data but I don't know if the whole thing is going to work, but I bet it'll get cracked as well since this game is not like WoW, so consumers will call in pirates to crack it to save whatever profiles into their hard disks rather than EA's own servers. Think of the annoyances involve, not just in my mind, but also in the mind of consumers who also be purchasing C&C4. EDIT : Starcraft 2 will also have profiles as well when I was checking out their latest screenshots, but the question is, are those profiles saved into Blizzard's servers like C&C4 or will they be saved into your local hard disk? I naturally prefer the hard disk, an easy choice.
  11. I know, I was afraid of that, whatever bad actions I did don't just hurt you all, it hurts me too. So I know any of this can happen. Once Jon Van gives us a good game that really pleases us, I'll be all praise instead of all crazy.
  12. Yeah I can be all crazy or retarded, so I know I can get my facts all correct & wrong at the same time. It's just twisted and I'm already too old for all of this sh*t. Many times, I hate myself for always think first before doing it later, but thinking always makes me go sluggishly slow, so I prefer to do things straight away with little thinking, that will be the normal speed of other good thinkers do and I don't care if I'm a bad thinker.
  13. As usual before, friend, EA is always on the money and only care for themselves & their company's own survival. Other game companies like Blizzard or Nintendo or whoever else are all for the fans, if they die due to bankruptcy, they'll be honored by their fans. But in this case, if EA dies in the future, no fans (Except pure hardcore EA supporters) will honor them in return. Just like why should you honor a serial killer like Jack the Ripper, but you honor a great person like Abraham Lincoln who did great things in the past.
  14. That's what I'm talking about, NSG. I did mention before that EA should had put all of these new changes onto a brand new non-C&C game as an experimental test. But since it's already done, they just take the suicide route, expecting..., well, let's just say it won't turn out very very well and I don't want to provoke the fanatical EA fanboys here. I hope they better regret of what they had done rather than feeling happy about it. I'm sure the staffs who got axed also do feel regret about the whole C&C4 project & its bad reputation.

Command & Conquer 4 Nod Avatar Wallpaper

I'm with ya' on this one. Kane Nash should not be wasting his time doing wallpapers featuring the crappy units, he should focus on units which already rocks. The Nod Cyborg Commando was the 1st bad wallpaper out from the batch, this one is the 2nd.
  16. I know, but the sad part is C&C4 is NOT the original C&C we know. Starcraft keeps many traditional things in its roots, so it was not much changed other than pure physics and great graphics.
  17. True, when I doubt about this, the ratings for this whole project may look good. The total score according to the feedbacks in this thread is like a total of 3 STARS (It's my own guess), IF the wacky units do appear on the next episode, then the reputation becomes worse and who knows it'll end up 2 STARS or below or worse, NO STARS at all. I sure hope the comics team is not involved with the idiots who love putting Red Alert stuff into the Tiberium universe like the game was.
  18. We won't be sure of that either, I am not convinced that SC2 may come out sooner like in June, as usual, there isn't any official deadline, I don't believe those game sites' deadlines, they keep on putting guesses or predictions that this game will come out this year. But I believe it will and it should, if not, Korean fans might have to fly all the way to the US and to protest.
  19. Looking good, the storyline it gives me is creative, although not 100% to some others. But I got to agree with them a little bit, a family in a Red Zone? That's wrong, it has to be a Yellow Zone! And without real protection, aren't Tiberium gases are supposed to be toxic to breathe in even within at reasonable close distance? Anyway, expecting the next episode. Artworks, the scripts & the voice acting are cool, hopefully there won't be any crappy or Red Alert looking units, particularly both of C&C4's Avatar & Scorpion tank, I can't imagine how they would to look like if they were in the motion comics.
  20. Yes, it is going to be a heated one. As we can see, SC2 is gaining more praise while C&C4 gains more boos. Even if newer audiences will buy it, but the veterans will not. As usual, similar to today's TV shows, particularly Disney, hardcore Disney fans hate its poor reputation for investing a lot in live action & produce poor cartoons, for the newer generations, they have no idea at all since they will not bother Disney's history that much. That's what I saw of what the marketing team is trying to do, their aim is more on the newer generations, veterans are a much smaller targets and they are easily ignored. As for the whole online thing, that's alright, we know we'll move on, MW2 ditched LAN before and I'm sure some other future games might do the same. I'm worried that LAN will become obsolete and a thing in the past.

    C&C 4 Pre-Order Deal from EA Singapore

I'm with you on this one. No further comment.
  22. But it's still highly unlikely, popular games usually have more different pirate groups pirating it. But in the case of C&C4, I don't think so, at least 1 group will pirate it, but not many.

    Why Mark Skaggs Quit EA

Hmm, when I was playing RA2, I felt the seriousness are still kept good, although reduced a little bit when comparing the RA1 Heavy Tank & RA2 Rhino. So I don't know. But in RA3, it's just not really good when the brute Soviets becomes a clowny faction, which I don't like the idea & concept behind it just one damn bit. I want my old husky dogs, not the bears. And yes, I'm with you, Nmenth, C&C3 was downhill a little bit, but then C&C4 is not on the mountain's valleys anymore, it's more like they just went underground, a rating equivalent of a school's Super 'F'.

    Why Mark Skaggs Quit EA

I knew he is one of the good guys around. But today, it all comes to Jon Van and I hope he'll bring light when the time comes.
