I sure hope so, the free C&C1 & RA1 were fun, but it'll be even more fun when the expansions are included. I just really wish I could get my hands on the so called "dinosaur" mission in C&C1 & the "Ant" mission in RA1. Yeap, I remember the old FMVs from there, oh wait, that's from Retaliation, another expansion pack. Lol, how can I forget the funny video about Carville complaining about the troops fighting about the giant ants.

Aww, hell yes! Worth getting it including those who doesn't own First Decade!

Woo! Now that is something for the enemy to taste their own projectiles.

New Poll: How Will You Be Purchasing C&C 4?
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
I prefer a physical box instead, it makes more of a real collection upon after purchasing it. A digital version is, well, not physical as it's only a bunch of files, nothing special. -
Correct, but with many people doesn't feel like buying into this game, for my case, I rather wait for a total-C&C conversion mod (Which means with serious models & back to old school ConYard system, oh, don't forget on the original Tiberium harvesting too) instead.

Agreeable, I got the feeling mods are getting more of a huge selling point these days when the original games have too many problems to please their fans.

C&C 4 GDI Medium Gattling Tank Concept Art
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Hopefully, I hope they do better than that. Especially they should put themselves into our shoes. -
I'm not exactly sure if LEGION is going to sound good in this game, the preview videos shows that his voice are much worse than C&C3's. GDI's EVA is much worse as we know, EotRS remixed. *face palms*

C&C 4 Beta Uplink Series Part 4: Support Class
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Me too, I felt the Venom all squashed is kind of meh. It will be nice if it fits with rocket pods like the real life Apache. But anyway, the Leviathan does reminds me of the Terran Science Vessel. Nice work! -
Wow, I'm sure I would love to buy them all. Well, the Enlightened does reminds me of the Madness Combat characters.
-
Did they tested all that in Max Settings? Most importantly that the low settings should give it a try too. I knew my Nvidia 8800M one day will become obsolete and it's not going to support further games already, even at low settings. But at least the new Radeon HD 4570 is a new one for me which I'll be getting that in a few months.

Damn, the model looks great, still looking like KW. But the upgrade does look kind of weird but acceptable.

C&C 4 Beta Uplink Series Part 3: Defense Class

Sigh, very well, consider myself silent from then on. If it, well, you get the picture, I no need to say it again. -
C&C 4 Beta Uplink Series Part 3: Defense Class
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Well, we can also let their sales chart to fall far down below Uprising's. Moreover, I'm pretty sure the editors in Uncyclopedia will continue to mess with C&C4 for the lulz. The Twilight vampire thingy is fun to laugh and so is the Avatar with crayons. I won't be playing the game since I saw how bad it is, so I'll just read the story from the C&C wiki and watch the FMV from Youtube. In this way, I'll spend my bandwidth on something else rather than on a crappy game. -
C&C 4 Beta Uplink Series Part 3: Defense Class

I find this Zone Raider a very bad model (The very left side), REJECT! KW's ZR is much better than the one I'm seeing. You better fix it, EA! The Zone Trooper & Enforcer are a PASS. Wow, did they wrote that the Obelisk can now fire Prism Tower style? Nice! -
Wow, you're curious about that? That's what heavy critics are for, and they hurt. If you're wondering for anything positive, sorry, there's none for this thread. If RA3 isn't going to Steam, then it's a huge positive for me! But in this case, it's a huge negative.

I never like Steam ever since they just released it for the first time, it disrespects offline goers like myself, their original games like Half Life 2 and above made me force to play online whenever I register, so I always use offline cracks in order to get rid of that. But that's alright for KW, the earlier KW release was for the PC first before Steam, so I wasn't worried for playing it on Steam. But today, Valve's games are mostly required Steam to play, which is why I'm still chasing after pirated ones to keep Steam out of my sight.

Sneak Peek at Something New for C&C in 2010
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
About the Generals stuff, Lukus, sure, you can love that universe. BUT without using the C&C name! In this way, a "Generals 2" will ensure & keep those hardcore fans from flaming as they say it's another face-palm fake C&C again! I'm not 100% convinced in DC or Marvel style comics. It is awesome, but I really doubt about its storyline ever since there are bad reviews from the C&C3 novel. Take the Modern Warfare 2 Ghost comics, the authors deliver the story very well as I'm pretty sure they do, but this C&C comic? If it's by the EALA writers, definitely it won't turn out well for sure! WATCH! And if you're talking about a movie version of it, keep Richard Taylor AWAY from directing the movie, I want real good directors instead like Roland Emmerich who did the 2012 movie and with the original Brett & Adam supervising it. -
You said it, I knew they do not have a proper QA department, they do have alright, ever since I saw the PS3 QA team in one of the BCPT episodes, but they can't help us anyway. So far, with our C&C4 always get ****ed up most of the time, that's why you see most of the Nod units are all crap and the gameplay doesn't 100% suit well with the veteran fans. We fans are the REAL QA people around here, except EA doesn't employ any of us to supervise the project, they believe they can do this all by themselves, but it actually doesn't go well in the end. Much like a dumb parent who could not raise his own child to think smart, all the child thinks is stupidity instead! Lastly, if we want a real company that handles C&C really well, I don't know who to turn to, Blizzard? Nah, it won't work. Atari? I... don't know either. Companies who made DoW & SupCom? Maybe. Petroglyph? Definitely NOT that so called "new Westwood Studios", that company doesn't have Brett & Adam!

C&C4 Interview: NowGamer Speaks with Joe Kucan
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Don't worry, we will remain fans with him as well as Nod, but for the game wise, I don't think so. I remember when Joe directs during the Westwood days, he did a very good job, I prefer him as a director rather than Richard Taylor, not a big fan of him anyways. -

Roundtable Discussion #26: December 2009 - Fan Edition
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Wow, when I read that roundtable, I find it very sad, similar to how I am when C&C4 is like this. Anyway, 1. I'm not really sure how they will do it, but I prefer the story writers to follow some of the great fans' ideas. Take Valdez's Kane's Wrath story, the way he wrote them, is far superior and better than EALA's. Not just in terms of the whole universe storyline, he also even wrote the way how to introduce the new units such as the C&C3 technology (Or just regular 4-legged Nod MCV) to the Avatar, including how to recover the Nod tech in Mission 2, instead of a Steel Talon lab, he wrote a Marcion-controlled Temple Prime instead. http://www.petroglyphgames.com/forums/inde...agined-version/ From what he has done, he nearly tied all of the loose threads (Westwood style) while EA still leaves many of them behind. 2. I'm with Lion, Nodsoldiergirl & Nathan, it's just doesn't feel like the older C&C games. Not like Westwood's, not even the older C&C3. 3. Since I no longer have the interest to buy the game, I can now breathe a sigh of relief. But in this case, I'll be watching the sales to fall. The sales will fall even faster is when the monthly subscription fee is in use. I'm with Nathan, back to the old Westwood C&C! No WiC or DoW clones!! 4. I'm with Nmenth, the old school is always better (Same case I'm with Lion), veterans will care for you, don't worry about those newbie fans & casual RTS players saying "You EALA create the C&C game is already outdated, MOVE ON, Westwood is dead, you morons!", they can hurt you, but we veteran fans can hurt you even more if you continue to mess up the franchise. A lost fan like myself already pierced your heart, now that's super hurt. Lastly, follow what Nodsoldiergirl said, EA, I suggest that you listen to us ENTIRELY, we direct the whole franchise for you, don't let your directors lead the franchise, we fans will repair the franchise instead. Take this quote written by Nyerguds & a friend of mine. Wow, Banshee, you're talking about bringing the CGI back, yes, that's what I'm talking about. I don't care if it's super expensive in this modern time or not, just give us what we want, OR we will give you what you DON'T want! -
Tiberium Essence v1.4 for C&C 3 Released
Silverthorn replied to Sonic's topic in Command & Conquer News
Wow, this mod continue to please people. -
What?! Seriously, are their brains full of increativity and stupidity?! That boxy flame tank is one of the crappiest units I ever encountered ever since the RA3 Apoc tank then followed up by the former 1st model of the Nod Engineer & Avatar. Anyway, the Centurion looks good. Hopefully they use that concept art version for the final game without changing the model.
