helliontheory 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Hey, I've come across a bit of a spare problem; I'm attempting to set up a C&C Zero Hour match with my brother but we're foiled by a missing Disk One from one of our copies of Zero Hour- Ironically, we've three copies of generals, two of ZH and two working security codes- and, naturally, the game won't allow us to play with Disk Two in the drive on one or other computer. Previously, for other games, I've read of a workaround that's worked when a person has copied the contents of a disk to their hard-drive and changed various settings in the game files to search for the hard-drive directory rather than the CD- SInce we have at least one ZH Disk One, would anyone know if its' possible to copy the contents and route the game search parameters to this directory and still allow for stable Lan play? I doubt our specs are needed but if anyone replies and requests them I'll happily supply them- suffice to say we can both run generals/ZH v.well. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted June 3, 2008 Since you have a valid CD key I see no problem in making copy of a Zero Hour disc. However , while there are ways to achieve what you have described our forum rules prevent it from discussed here. We don't allow topics that discuss methods to circumvent copy protection schemes.
