It is not an easy path, nor is it one that everyone will be willing to take. To excel in the Vanguard, one must be committed, and that is unattractive to some. But officers who have spent years in its service will testify to the rewards that this path offers. Even for those men, the satisfaction is ongoing. Through the work that he does and the friends that he makes, every man finds his place in the Vanguard - as a Spartan. The Vanguard is recently rebuilding, and is bound forward in one of the greatest periods of growth in its history. If you are content to continue in the footsteps of the mediocre, please do not apply. If, however, you are ready to take that first step toward excellence, to grow - and to add to a community of men committed to perfection - then the Vanguard is right for you.
