Online not up to date?

I have played Yuri's revenge online before, but it has been a while since I last played. I have the latest patch (1.001 or something) and I downloaded it again from an outside source to be sure. I have no clue why it is not working, but when I click on a game, the join button is disabled and the text at the bottom says that my version is not up to date and to go to Westwood.com, like that will do anything. Please tell me what I need to do to fix this strange problem.

Have you installed any mods that may have modified your YR installation. If that is the case you will need to reinstall YR and patch to the latest official version.

Thanks so much! I had to remove my rules file from my Red Alert directory! Makes complete sense now, that would prevent cheating.
