I cant locate where I am supposed to install unofficial maps for generals...some places say command and conquer generals date/maps but I only have command and conquer generals/data (or userdate)/maps...i tried putting them here but still no luck.

Once you download the maps you want simply extract/copy all the files to your Documents and SettingsUsernameMy DocumentsCommand and Conquer Generals DataMapName for Generals or Documents and SettingsUsernameMy DocumentsCommand and Conquer Generals Zero Hour DataMapName for Zero Hour.

 

Username should of course be replaced by whatever your Windows XP login is.

 

MapName should be the name the map you downloaded.

 

As explained on all our pages that have maps available for download....

To install the maps simply extract the contents of the downloaded .zip file to your My DocumentsCommand and Conquer Generals Zero Hour DataMapsMAPNAME folder on your hard drive. The MAPNAME will of course be the name of the map. EG if a map was called "DesertStorm" you would extract contents of the .zip file to the My DocumentsCommand and Conquer Generals Zero Hour DataMapsDesertStorm folder. Each zip file should be set up so the folder is created when you unzip it.
