Moonshadow 0 Posted September 21, 2005 This has probably come up before, but I am havig trouble getting Generals to start in XP. The game asks me to log in with administrator privileges. I already have. The FAQ recommends right-clicking and trying "Run As" and doing Administrator from there. I already have. They recommended a new admin account, and installing it afresh there. Nadda. Same error. EA tech support examined my DXDiag and found several DLLs missing, and suggested reinstalling DirectX 9.0c. I did that, and it still asks me to get admin privileges. Right now, I am going up the wall, and am desperate to play my new game (I bought it a few days ago). Can someone help someone who has tried seemingly everything? Share this post Link to post

As for specs, I have 756 MB RAM, 2.8 Ghz P4, ATi Radeon 9600 Pro, Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 and DirectX 9.0c, latest version.
