Missing sub-menu in WorldBuilder (WB not complete)

Hi,

I have C&C Generals and ZH (legal) and I wanted to try WorldBuilder. So I read the manual and got started. Now I'm very disappointed because no submenu pops up. Like if you click 'Single Tile' a menu with all sorts of materials (rock, grass,...) should appear. And that's exactly what it does NOT. Can any one help please. Have already tried to uninstall and re-install.

You should have a floating menu somwhere in the Worldbuilder window, it may be hidden just off screen.

I believe that maybe there is something wrong or you got a non-official world builder or maybe you should contact EA for help or to get a new C&C Generals.

Guess I'll contact EA. Maybe there's something wrong with my pc because the version with Generals AND the one with Zero-Hour have the same problem. I don't get it.

Do you only have this problem with the "Single Tile" submenu or are there other submenu's that also do not appear (for example with the "Height Brush") :?:

I had this problem 2 try changing ur screen resolution to somthing a little higher than 800x600 thats what i done then i was able to use the pop up menues when the worldbuilder started

No submenus at all.

changed resolution to 1024 x 768 and guess what; the menu was indeed offsreen. So I dragged it to the middle, changed back resolution and now Worldbuilder always starts with the menu in the middle. Thanks a lot!

Glad you solved that annoying problem Kurt

 

BTW, you can't contact EA Tech Support about the Worldbuilder, its an unsupported product. Its states that when you start the program on the small splash screen.

Altough I have read the whole text at start up, I didn't tought about that. Could always try with the maker of WB (Forgot his name :? ). Anyway; problem solved.

 

PS: Is there a possibility to change the title so others can find an answer to their probs faster & better? Like: Missing submenu in WB.
