C&C:Generals -> Windows crashes!

Hi all! I'm not sure this is the place for that question, but... please understand me...

 

I don't buy games very often, but for the games I really like - it's a different thing.

 

I bought are C&C:RA2, but it was... really back in time.

I really do like C&C Generals, but I won't buy it, because I got it for a friend who has bought it. So I have it installed and my PC gone crazy.

 

The game runs fine, really. But when I try to restart the PC - my windows cannot start at all. The only way is System Restore via Safe Mode. But, of course, the game is out in that case. Reinstall doesn't work...

 

Please help!!!

AMD K7 1.2 GHz

512 MB RAM

nVidia GeForce 5500 128 MB

Huge HDD etc.

Windows XP home
