Renegade Problem w/ Vista

I bought a new computer that came preloaded with Windows Vista. I went to install C&C Renegade. No problems with the install. I patch it up, no problems with the patch. I install Renguard, no problems with install. I try and run it and I get, "Renegade.exe has stopped working. Windows is attempting to determine why." I try running it in all the compatibility modes, no good. I delete it and re-install. I don't patch or install Renguard. It still won't run. I patch up, still won't run. Install Renguard without the core patches, still won't run. Installed the latest video drivers, still won't run. What's wrong? Does anybody know?

Unfortunately I don't have solution to your Vista/Renegade problem.

 

I searched at http://www.renegadeforums.com and spotted a couple of thread where people reported Renegade worked fine when it was installed in the release candidates and beta version of Vista.

 

Perhaps you have some sort other hardware based problem causing Renegade to not load?

 

What are your system specs?

I don't know what's wrong. I can see the spash screen, but nothing happens beyond that.

so where you able to get renaged by its self up and working or how far have you gonten since?

 

let me know maybe i can help i got my vista up and runing with renegade and renguard pain in the eye if you know what i mean.
