AIrBoRnE Clan is now actively recruiting for the C&C: Generals Division. We have approximately 20 positions open. We are seeking serious players that feel they can be successful leaders. We have 10 Officer positions open ranging from 2 Star Generals all the way down to 2nd Leutenants.

We are a Military based Community consisting of 200+ members. Our leader [AIrBoRnE]_General_ is currently an Active Duty Infantry Soldier with the US Army. We do have several more members that are active military of somekind which really helps us be an organized and well focused clan. Once a player becomes a full member of [AIrBoRnE], he will be assigned a rank and can progress through the ranks based on amount of activity, skill, and willingness.

[AIrBoRnE] currently participates in TWL Ladders and the CAL Leagues keeping us on our toes practicing 24/7. We have a Dedicated TeamSpeak server for Communication which always has 5+ members on it. Also under our belt is our own mIRC channel #[AIrBoRnE] on west.gamesnet.net , Forums , and Webmail to keep in contact with each other.

You know, I've never really understood the point of clans. They are, to me, at least, one of the most idiotic ideas conceived by the online community. Clubs are more the appropriate name for them.

 

Clans seem to imply that they have strength in numbers. That they have a force to be reconned with. In reality, half the online players have no idea who the clan members are, and the rest don't really care. They claim to be "at war" with another clan, but how are such things resolved? Catcalls? What exactly can you do to "defeat your enemy?"

 

Just a thought I had, especially when this "prestigious" clan is looking for members, and claims a US Army Infantry member as it's leader to give it some "military legitimacy." I also enjoyed the fact that C&C Generals is simply a branch of this clan. What, are you defending your honor on multiple fronts? Is there some great evil that you're protecting us from? Do tell.

 

I just wanted to throw this out there. See what happens when I stir the water.

I have been in 1 squad/clan before and played Delta Force Black Hawk down and we played that for 3 years. The purpose of a clan is to heighten the gaming experience with people you know or become to know. You work as a team and compete as a team. Also you get a sense of being a part of something. For me its a lot more fun talking to my friends on teamspeak playing a 2 vs 2 rather than playing with someone who i cant communicate with. I'm not currently in a generals clan, but i am in a medal of honor clan. (i just made a bunch of them get generals )
