Azrael 0 Posted April 27, 2007 This topic is meant to be like a list of some things that are new or already existent to the old C&C games when compared to C&C 3. Note that Generals is not truly what some would consider "C&C". Here's my list. Lost: Nod Tick Tanks - The defensive possibilities were endless when they were there. GDI Hover Craft - Again, a combat advantage GDI has, i.e. raids from unexpected angles through rivers, etc. Funny Animations - When the Obelisk of Light hits infantry in the old C&C, they turn into skeletons for a few seconds. It was quite amusing. Tiberium Gas - I know, it was irritating. The kind that comes from the Veinholes or Crates. Veinholes and Veins - An interesting obstacle. It was kind of useful in defensive operations. Burrowing - Going all sneaky-like was fun. GDI Assault Walkers - The Titan and Mammoth MKII were cool. Found: Win The Battle, Lose The War - The Scrin lost the war, though you won all your missions. Intel Database - A cool appendix or guide to the Earth, circa 2040. Salvaging - Walker husks, Avatar Commandeer Technology... Unit Research Upgrades - A new interesting factor, since some units become tougher when using new upgrades. Share this post Link to post
JasonKnight298 0 Posted April 27, 2007 GDI Assault Walkers - The Titan and Mammoth MKII were cool. the reason they were discontinued was in the Intel Database. also, additions you forgot to mention that they lost Lost: NOD Cyborgs Cyborg Commando Mobile Repair Vehicle Laser Walls and True artillery (not that long range laser ****) Fist of Nod Cyborg Reaper Mobile Stealth Generator Mutant Hyjacker Banshee (come on, where is my Green plasma bomber at???) GDI Mobile War Factory Mobile EMP Disrupter Titan Wolverine Firestorm Defence Wall. Both Hunter Seaker Mobile Sensor Array And ya know what, No, The avatar is not based off of GDI's reverse Enginering, its a mini clone of Cabals Guardian... also somehting that does not make sence, NOD's origial stealth generator was able to cloak its self, and the new one cant, who gay is that??? I understand that things can change in 20+ years of a story line i mean, I can nderstand the need for set units to be discontinued and changed. but there is some stuff that is just downgraded.. and alot of stuff missing as well, I was kinda disapointed when I captured my first mutant hovel all it has where chaingunners that killed infantry and aitcraft fast.. not all mutants look like that, bet they all have different skills just like in TS. Ghost walker had his rail gun, there was the female mutant sniper, the hyjacker. and like i said before, before the stealth generator cloaked everything even itsself. now it it does everything but itself. why would NOD downgrade??? seriously... idk... I can understand the vien holes not behing there nay more.. i mean the Sonic Defence weapons where made to stop tiberium groth, maybe those where used to kill off all vien holes. IDK... i will just play the game and enjoy it unlike most other players on the EA CNC3 forums. and my point wasnt that all the old things are not there, my point is that they were not talked about, worked on, upgraded or anything. I mean there used to be Cyborgs, WTF HAPPEND??? my best strat in TS was 10 sub APC's with 49 cyborgs and 1 cyborg commando... would wpe out the base quickly. idk, who am I to argue, i didnt make the game.
