The Ultimate Collection - Online?

Hi guys,

 

Been a while for me in the CnC world (+/-) 2 years:).

 

I bought a new laptop a few months ago and I remembered how hard it was to get generals on windows vista etc. Anyway, the ultimate collection released at the start of this month so I bought it linea recta when i heard about it.

 

But, here it comes:

 

Im not able to play it online.. Tried to download the 1.08 patch but when he tries to install it he cant find the game. I think this is because its installed through "origin" ? That sucks hard cus who doesnt want 17 cd's of westwood in his living room:)

 

So ive been searching everywhere and wasnt able to find any solution for thiis huge problem. I just ordered it to play it online (generals!!!) and this seems to be very hard or impossible.

 

I would be very thankfull if theres someone out there who can help me.

As far as i know, Origin sells up-to-date games so you shouldn't need to upgrade them.

If you tried to patch a game from the Ultimate Collection just like The First Decade you might break the game as they already have the games patched. (C&C1 and RA1 aren't properly patched though)

 

Also, what's stopping you from playing online?
