    Red Alert Arda problem

Works absolutely flawlessly, videos and everything. I'm so imrpessed with all the new options as well, especially the way you can view how many players are online just from the launcher itself. I feel stupid for wasting my entire day trying to get it working now! Thanks a lot for the link, would never have figured that out. Makes me want to play RA1 even more, but for now I have to get C&C1 gold working for its high-res functions! Thanks again mate.

    Red Alert Arda problem

I always make that mistake! I spent ages trying to locate the game on my computer once, and it was entirely down to that exact error. Thanks for the RA portable link, I saw the name mentioned but to be honest I assumed it was an android port of RA so I didn't look into it, I'm hopeful that this one will finally work. Gonna go back and start with C&C1 instead - my original plan was to start at RA because that's where I began as a kid, but thinking seriously about it, I might as well begin at the start of the series. Thanks for help, I'll let you know what happens with it!

    Red Alert Arda problem

Hi guys, I decided to do a full run of C&C again starting from Red Alert 1. I installed the Last Decade version, then installed the community patch for TLD which includes the 3.03 patch Arda needs to run. After starting a game, my Red Alert freezes within 60 seconds, sometimes as early as 5 seconds. It displays no error message when it does so - the music continues, but the game just stops. The process shows as "not responding" in the task manager. I have tried reinstalling the whole thing, and I have also tried using the actual 3.03 patch itself rather than the community one, and both have the same issue. I've also tried using the high-res launcher (from before it was integrated into Arda), and I get the same issue. However, it doesn't crash unless I'm using the Arda or Highres launcher. It also makes no difference whether the resolution is even changed, it just crashes anyway. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? I found one guy in a thread somewhere who had the exact same issue as me but no-one ever responded to him, and I can't find any contact details for the guy who makes Arda. Alternatively, is there any other way to play RA1 in high-res? I was fine playing it at low-res, but having actually seen how it looks with Arda I now can't go back, and I really want to finish RA1 before moving on to Tiberian Sun. thanks!
