Might have to reinstall Renegade and check this out.

Its a great step in the right direction though! Get all the bugs and side effects worked out and id say you've got a great addon to a great classic! One id definitely pick up and play!

I would have to agree here. Dont know her personally, BUT someone open to both sides of C&C would definitely get my pick over someone just open to EA's side.

Maybe we'll see my most wanted C&C game, Renegade 2? To be honest, i think that would be totally fecking awesome, and while i doubt i could run it on this PC, id be excited anyway.

Kinda torn on how i feel. Visceral Games is a excellent studios, im very excited for Dead Space 2, but on the other hand, EA lost my confidence with C&C 4. I hope Visceral can bring C&C back to the top where it belongs.

Well unfortunately for me, im gonna have to wait to play this until i can get another copy of TW, seems my daughter got a hold of my disk. Damn kids and their getting smarter. Also read in the readme that their has been some graphical updates so not even sure i could run it, but wont stop me from trying. Kinda bummed me out now, was gonna use this to hold me over until Dead Rising 2 and Two Worlds 2. *sighs*

Wow couple days till this releases? Need to get cracking on installing C&C 3 again. This should keep me busy till Dead Rising 2 and Two Worlds 2.

Ah, played my first C&C in '95 when my father put our first computer together. C&C95 was the first PC game he ever bought, and sadly he didnt get much time with it because of Navy duties, but i sure as hell did! Love TD to death, still a top ranking favorite of mine! Happy Birthday C&C :cc:

Sorry, but i like APB right where it is. Sure it might not be the prettiest thing out there, but with my dinosaur computer its a damn fine game and meets my FPS needs to the point i dont even have another FPS on my computer. As long as BHP keeps deving APB ill keep playing. I dont care if 10 years from now they are still updating the game, if its not dead then ill be playing. Gameplay > Graphics any day of the week.

Just because i despise the move in 2003 does not mean i sit and dwell on it. Like many in the community its a scar that will follow us forever. I have "moved on" and have accepted that EA owns the franchise. Does not mean i have to be happy about it.

Sounds pretty cool, be a lot better if there was a video attached to the story, but all in all i give the guy/s credit for it. Too bad its just a map and not a full blown mod, cause id definitely purchase the game for a Classic C&C Mod for C&C4. Until my dreams are realized, C&C4 stays blacklisted.

They need to reboot the franchise. I dont trust them with a Generals sequel.

Sorry to see him go, despite my opinions of the latest C&C, he was a great Community Manager. I'll miss him, and hope he does great where ever he goes.

Even though theres a good chance i wont be able to run Renegade X, i will certainly try. This looks absolutely bad ass. I cant wait.

More or less my views on the subject. APOC you say you want to see what made C&C a great game? Go back to its true roots. TD and RA1 are, in my opinion, far better the General in every aspect other then graphics, and even then graphics dont make a game. As far as my favorite C&C's go, obviously from my information on the left, Renegade is my favorite for more reasons then i have time to put into this post, but basicly they took my all time favorite C&C, TD, and took it to ground level. They allowed me to actually drive those tanks i steamrolled across countless NOD and GDI bases. TD, Renegade and RA1 will forever be my favorites. Hell, just recently found my old N64 copy of C&C TD, slapped it in just for laughs and played that for about three hours lol. Generals, in my opinion, was decent. I own the game, but ive only played it once or twice. Im not a MP RTS gamer, i play them for their story, and we know, and you know, the Generals story was pretty weak. But in terms of game play i think its an alright RTS, there was a few things i really liked about Generals. But felt the C&C was slapped on the cover to sell. While i have no plans to buy C&C 4, i however remain hopeful you guys can breathe new life into C&C and produce something truly great.

Gben plays/ed Neverwinter Nights?! As old as that game is i still find myself, though in spaz-tastic spurts, playing it ALOT. Notice the nearly 3k hours ive spent already down below lol. The online community in that game is incredible. I was never much of a D&D fan or a serious RP'er until i discovered NWN, and now im a fan of both lol.

Hardly ever visited the Lion's Den, CNCNZ has always been my one stop for CNC news, but it is sad to see the community get a little smaller. I hope the site stays up as a monument to the community. While i don't care for CNC4 myself, all i can really do is look towards the future and hope that EA can reflect apon this and make something truely epic next time, its sad to see the crap thats plaguing his good bye thread, like Troopzor said, things like that need to stay civil.

I actually love U@W lol. Just couldnt play it on my old laptop and gave it away to my dad. As far as Adams comments, i think hes absolutely dead on.
