I'll repost the comment I made. (minus a typo  ) Sigh..the Tiberium universe is the alternate reality following Red Alert. Yes, when it comes down to gameplay and style, they are separate. However, those few cutscenes in Red Alert cannot be overlooked. C&C does follow.

Well, It was a remixed version of the TS trailer music. Not sure what that one was called, it wasn't in the final game was it?

So over at Gamespot, they've written a short article based on their impressions of the trailer at e3. I must say, I look forward to watching it myself. And it’s nice to see EA taking the story into consideration.

C&C 3 Interview over at IGN
-NickoheaD- replied to TheBlackOut's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
Yup, great news. What do they mean by 'centralized production queues' though? Just interested. And has it yet been confirmed whether or not they'll be returning to the classic style of building? I really don't want any more of those dozers. -
new C&C Screenies over at IGN.com
-NickoheaD- replied to dapperdan's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
Mmmmh..maybe so, though it doesn’t look to capture the same mood as TS. I admit, I loved the realistic/futuristic hybrid of the original, though I also love the style of TS and it's apocalyptic feel. Now, this could all be explained within the plotline (reversing the effects of Tiberium with the Tacitus), though from what I've read of C&C3 so far, the Tiberium crisis has gotten worse, not better. And what of GDI Hover MLRS' and Distruptors? Will these futuristic units be making a return? I hope so anyway.. Heh, though despite my ramblings I'm very exited about the game. This is the only real thing that bothers me at the moment. -

Yep, they look good indeed, my only concern being the apparent backtrack in technology and 'futuristic' feel of TS. -
Tib3rium War

I do, though mostly for the nostalgia.
-
Regardless, a title with 'Tiberian' at the start would be appreciated. I'm not really bothered about the time-o-day thing.

Luckily for me, I wasn't really into the community when the first three games came around all those years ago. I had pretty much no idea of what to expect when I first played them. Of course, they are my three favourites. Edit: In case you were wondering, Sole Survivor is excluded.

Command & Conquer 3 is Coming!
-NickoheaD- replied to TheBlackOut's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
But what makes 'this team' any different to those that created Generals? I'm not criticizing them or anything, I'm just curious. Is C&C3 in better hands than Generals was? Again, I'm curious. -
How much more does C&C King know, that we don't? :!:
-
Actually, I think they're probably going to prerecord them  ehehwhe...whatever..

To be honest, I'm just glad/relieved they're working on a game set in the Tiberian Universe. I never thought EA would touch it. C&C and TS have always been my favorites, so I am very excited about this. The news of real-time cutscenes and the return of Kane have also hyped me up. I actually get the feeling EA are trying a lot harder with this game. Hell..If EA were simply out for money they would have gone ahead with RA3, since that's quite obviously the more popular of the two universes.

Hmm, though Tiberian Sun had a very 'apocalyptic' feel to it. Everything was rundown and overrun by Tiberium. I'm presuming we never saw a green zone in that game.

PROPER HI-RES PCGAMER SCANS OF C&C 3 7 PAGES
-NickoheaD- replied to ant_mcbane's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
I don't mind the suits, though shouldn't they have a little more protection over their heads? I mean, they're walking through a field of Tiberium. -
And why aren't those men dead?

What are your Expectations for C&C3
-NickoheaD- replied to Sonic's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
- Classic sidebar. - Construction Yards and Tiberium Refineries/harvesters. - FMV sequences. - Joe Kucan. - Obviously, a great story that follows Firestorm. - Variety in music (original C&C). - Atmosphere, something that TS delivered nicely I think. - And of course it needs to be fun and balanced. Quote for truth. -
Command & Conquer 3 is Coming!
-NickoheaD- replied to TheBlackOut's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
Hm...so those are mammoth tanks. I hope we see a return of a few walking vehicles as well though. And I really would have liked a nicer title for the game. 'Tiberium Wars' just sounds a little..meh. -
Command & Conquer 3 is Coming!
-NickoheaD- replied to TheBlackOut's topic in Tiberium Wars / Kane's Wrath
This is great news. I didn't think EA would touch the Tiberian Universe. Lets just hope they stay true to what made the originals so great. Reading the information at wikipedia has also lightened my spirits (wee, live-action scenes). I'm just sitting here praying that Joe will make a return. -
I've always loved the way RA1 ties in with C&C, though RA2 seems to cause a few problems here and there. Basically, I don't play RA2 for its story, only for the fun. I mean it’s a really great game, dont get me wrong, though it’s story just lacks. I feel the other three games are the core chunks of the C&C story. I'm not even going to mention Generals...uh...right.

The Tiberium universe for the win!

C&C: The First Decade. Will You Purchase It?
-NickoheaD- replied to Saracen's topic in Command & Conquer News
Meh...perhaps I would consider buying it if the box wasn't branded with a fat arse EA logo on the front. It's funny, that logo has been slowly getting larger over the years. -

-NickoheaD- replied to Saracen's topic in Command & Conquer News
Already have them. Not interested in the bonus features either so no, I will not be buying it. -
Command & Conquer: The First Decade Announced!
-NickoheaD- replied to Sonic's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Well..I won't be buying that. Can't stand seeing the older C&C games with the EA logo on the front. Sickens me really.
