  1. I recently purchased the Deluxe edition at Best Buy. I was quite pleased, my collection was finally complete. However, after installing the game, I simply can't PLAY the damn thing because of how slow it is! To get an idea, put in an old copy of RA2 and play a skirmish on speed 1. Units crawl along, the in-game at the start of missions take forever to play through, etc etc. I've tried setting all of the optional graphics down to their lowest setting. All of the fancy shadows and whatnot are disabled. Nothing seems to help. I'll get one, maybe two minutes of play at a respectable speed before everything slows to a crawl. The frustrating thing is that I can't find a reason for it or a solution to it. My computer has no problem playing other graphic intensive games, and runs things like Morrowind and NeverWinter nights without a hiccup. I'd appreciate any help. System Spec: Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600) 2.80 gigahertz Intel Celeron 752 Megabytes Installed Memory Intel® 82852/82855 GM/GME Graphics Controller [64 MB] Before anyone mentions it- my drivers are the absolute latest for the card that I have- I upgraded it two days ago so that I could play Pirates! Once again, any constructive help is appreciated.

    C&C Generals very slow

Well, thanks anyways. I suppose it will sit on the wait shelf until my next desktop.

    C&C Generals very slow

Hmm... That's somewhat odd. I looked at the page, and I'm assuming that the "Intel Extreme Graphics2 82865/G" refers to the entire family. Intel's page tells me that my card should handle the game fine, while the one indicated on the unsupported list will not. Unfortunately, seeing as my current box is a laptop (yes, I know, poor gaming choice), I can't really update my card. Are there any other measures available, or am I basically screwed? Thanks for the response.
