the other thread was locked, so i thought i'd post it here... i installed the game by exploring the disk, and opening the setup file from the core, so it was E:Setup, rather than E:SetupSetup. not that anyone cares, i just wanted to prove you guys wrong about my "ripped and stolen" copy! infact, here's a screen shot of what the disk looks like...
-
would you like me to scan the the disk, and the box of the collection pack? i told you i got the game, but it can't find the file, so i'm asking if there's any other way i could instal from the disk?
-
ok, so i have installed ra2, and it's updated. i put in my yr cd, try to instal, i get "Could not find E:SetupSetup.exe." but the file is there if i explore the cd, and i get some bull-plop error message whenever i try to open or run it, can anybody help me set up yr? I have met the requirements, but i can't install.. TIA
-
i can't find the file where the cd key is located, can anyone point that out please? TIA
-
does anybody know where i could find the language.mix file? OR could anybody either send it to me, or upload it somewhere? it looks like the reason why i can't instal my ra2 is because i don't have that file... (i'm probly missing something else too, but my cd is too messed up, and i can't get one anywhere)
-
but then again, i don't think there are too many working hacks anyway... a hack that reveals the whole map MIGHT work, but as for the rest of them, you should get the recon message because the information doesn't match up...

i have a Red Alert 2 game (store bought), but i can't instal it because the setup.exe won't run, however, I am able to browse through the CD. I've tried reformating completely, and still no go. So I downloaded the game, and of course I can't play online because the wol files are not installed in the hack, is there any way for me to transfer the files (or instal them) from the cd, to the directory where the downloaded version is. And of course, I'm using my own CD key... TIA EDIT: it seems that only a few files cannot be read, so is there any place where I would be able to download, or would anybody be kind enough to send me those files, so I can reinstal the game?

i haven't used my cd in a long while, so it got pretty messed up (dirty) and i've tried cleaning it and all, but it still gives me an error that reads: " The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000006). Click on OK to terminate the application. " but before it said "The setup.exe file could not be found", so could anybody help me out??? TIA
-
that's how mine is set up. i have c:westwoodra2 but that's where i keep both ra2 and yr. they both work, but i sense yr is not updated, i can't play that one online. i see the langmd file in the directory, but the patch can't find it, so it's unable to patch up.
-
i don't see why it would matter if you're on or offline, but if it helps, go with his idea. and i don't think we'll here from this guy anymore...
-
well i've tried all that, but i think that the problem i have is the patch is look in the wrong directory, so could one of you please show me the ENTIRE directory? (from the begining drive [c:] to the very end] TIA
-
yea, its legal, 1.0 but do you mind telling me your directory?
-
i've tried renaming it, and either way, the patch looks specificcaly for langmd, anyway, what is the directory on your computer? ie: c:westwoodyuris revenge

yea it does. but i don't know why you would worry about that, not too many people play it anyway -
well that would only happen when you either have a pop-up blocker, firewall, sit through a proxy, or if you're not connected to the internet. so make sure to fix one of thouse problems, and it should work just fiine
