Thanks a lot for your help, Sonic. Unfortunately, my DMA settings were already on Ultra DMA (if available), but I restarted just to be sure. No dice, still the same error message. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as I've had a huge, sudden urge to blow up Yuri with a Kirov.

I thought that I should put down the data Windows gives me after I click "Install": AppName: setup.exe, AppVer: 0.0.0.0, ModName: ~de7bc4.tmp, ModVer: 0.0.0.0, Offset: 0000ec09 (whatever any of that really means). Also, I was wondering if buying the Command & Conquer Collection pack with RA2 might remedy my problems, if nothing else. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having trouble installing Red Alert 2 on my PC. I've looked through this forum, as well as others. I've tried changing the compatiblity of the Autorun and several other files to Windows 98 and 95, and I couldn't figure out how to tweak something called "DMA" as suggested on this or another site. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My specs: Intel Pentium 4, CPU 1700 MHz, 512 MB RAM, Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2, NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200, DirectX Version 9.0. Thanks in advance.
