I like the pick-up-and-play option to. I really don't like having to click on multiple buttons to play a game. I will say one thing though, I tried the Perimeter demo and I thought it was rather good. Way more than I expected. However not enough to make me buy it, not right now anyway :wink: EDIT: I made a mistake. The demo I tried was Ground Control 2, not Perimeter. :oops:

I don't know if I'll install it yet. I have it on CD so its there if I need it. There have been to many nasty stories floating around from people who have had their systems turn to crap after installing it while other report no problems. Anyone here running SP2 without problems?

As fun as it may be for you do we really need it?

I tried everything man. I've since given up trying to make it work. So I just use GameSpy instead.

I used to play on the BlackCell servers all the time but since I can't use WOL anymore I'm stuck on GameSpy.

Run some scans with Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.3, download it from http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ Make sure you update these problems with the latest updates to. You can do this from within the programs. I use both Ad-aware and Spybot together. I do a scan with Spybot first then I let Ad-aware have a run through the system. Try eliminating programs that start up when Windows loads. Leave the important ones, dump the stuff never use.

It was originally created to keep flaming out of all the other forums. The problem I have with it is the fact that a lot of you use to way much. One other thing I have noticed is that for those who are using it, they even set the topic reply notification option when replying to get an e-mail when someone replies to their post in the flamers forum :roll: I'm siding with C&C King on this one, so don't be surprised if you see it the entire Flamers Zone forum removed very soon.

There is nothing wrong with these forums or CNCNZ.com. Searchmiracle.com is classed as a Trojan, Virus or Spyware. Well to be exact its a browser hi-jacker. Sounds like you have it on your system. Same goes for me. There isn't enough in the game to keep me interested.

I'm not 100% sure but since we restored the forums using an older backup those changes maybe long gone.

From a news for the site point of view its ok, keeps things semi-interesting on the front page. Gives us something to debate as well. However, I'm sick of rumours, fake screen shots. Why can't EA simply just confirm C&C 3 for us :roll:

How old is your Windows installation? Over time Windows can collect junk, programs you have uninstalled leave crap all through the registry. This can slow down boot times and your system overall. If your Windows installation is more than 12 months old you might want to bite the bullet and consider backing up your files and formatting. Start with a fresh Windows setup. I've just rebuilt my system and reinstalled Windows, when WinXP loads its really quick. I only see the little green status bar on the boot up XP screen scroll by 2 or 3 times.

I think I found a soloution. Found this page via Google: http://www.faqfarm.com/Computer/Windows/303 In particular this part: I did this and it shutdown and powered of the system. But then when I powered it back on, I though for peice of mind, I would try another shutdown. It just rebooted again instead. Back to square one I thought to myself. Then I went back to into the BIOS Power Management Setup, disabled "PME Event WakeUp" setting. I did this after finding this page http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/t1011135538 It seems to working for me, so bigfootedfred perhaps you should give it a try. Let me know if fixes it for you.

Well I'm sort of back earlier than I expected. I had no problems installing the new parts. Everything is working fine. Except for when I power down the system. If I go to START > Turn of Computer > Turn Off the system doesn't power down and switch off, it restarts. I may have BIOS setting wrong for the PW switch. I've reinstalled Windows XP and SP1, not sure about installing SP2 yet. I've seen to many horror stories. I don't have all my apps and games installed right now. For the record the new parts are.... - AMD AthlonXP 2700+ - Gigabyte GA-7N400-L1 Nvida NForce2 - 512 MB DDR400 Ram (Dual Channel) - Seagate 120GB HDD Reused parts.... - Leadtek GeForce4 Ti-4200 8xAGP 128 MB DDR - 16x Song DVD Rom - 24x10x40 Creative CDRW - Stupid 56k Modem I'll be getting another 512 MB of RAM in a few months time, closer to Christmas I may look at a new video card. The Ti-4200 will do for now.

From what I understand thats not entirely true. Not saying they didn't, just what I seen in my travels Lion posted a Reborn update on CNC Den yesterday. I will still cover it when I can on CNCNZ.com. I'm not interested in the whole RenAlert VS Reborn war.

Like most awards shows these days they are probably jacked up and fixed so they can sell more albums anyway.

Well we no longer mirror the Reborn files here anymore. Most people who downloaded it could never make it work anyway.

Same deal here on Gaming Source, as much space as we need but it must be used for files related to the site and nothing else. I will be checking for non-related files from time to time. We should be cleaning up the spam and crap posts anyway. For the record the forums database is currently 12.5 MB. CNCNZ.com with all of its downloads, and network sites is using 1925 MB. Thats why it takes so damn long to restore.

I voted yes. All you have to do is look at the news coverage these days on various sites around the community.

Topic reply notifiction can be turned off when you post a message by clearing the option on the Post a new topic page. You can turn off private message notifiction by clearing the check box in your Profile page. I'm sorry about this but since I control the [email protected] address I get all the bounce back e-mails.
