I just thought it would be a good idea to post a quick update here about what I'm currently working on for CNCNZ.com. I wanted to post it here rather than the main page of the site to get our visitors thoughts. 1. The next CNCNZ.com layout I've started the basics of a new layout (sort of), new colours, new main page set up. No date has been set for when it will be finished though, I may never finish it, mostley testings things right now. It takes many hours to come up with a decent layout, something that your happy with. And right now I don't have the motivation to make new layout because its like watching paint dry :roll: The reasons for a new layout are basically I'm getting bored with the blue, I like the blue scheme but change is always good. The new colours that I've chosen are different. I'll be honest I saw them on another site recently (not in the C&C community) so I've decided they will be the new CNCNZ.com colours. No one can claim to own colours you know I won't tell anyone they colour scheme just yet.....I'm the sort of person that changes my mind about things. Maybe a small preview soon though :evilgrin: I'm open to suggestions about the new layout, something I should add, something you would like to see added. Reply here. 2. Rating system for the download section Osey mentioned this idea in this thread http://forums.cncnz.com/viewtopic.php?t=851 about having a rating system for the files people can download from the site. I've tested a few scripts and found a good one to the job. The next layout is higher on my priority list though but I will get this added to the site as soon as I can.

Assuming you have legal copies of RA2 and Yuri's Revenge and you didn't just download it off some warez site you shouldn't have any problems with missing files. Maximous, no shortcut should be pointing to the Ra2md.exe file for Yuri's Revenge anyway.

Just like chickendippers I've never had problems running Generals or Zero Hour either, no crashes, no serious errors and my system is by no means top of the line. AMD XP 1700 + 512 MB Ram Geforce 4 Ti4200 128 MB GameSurround MuseXL Soundcard 16x DVD Drive 24x10x40 CD Writer Windows XP SP1 However I don't play online and I don't really play the game that often. I will say that I'm shocked at the amount of people posting here on our forums about these horrible errors they are having. Sadly, other than the obvious stuff, I have no suggestions for possible fixes.

Red Alert 2 has nothing to do with the original storyline. If anything it screwed it up confusing the hell out most fans. Only Red Alert, C&C and Tiberian Sun make up the storyline. Renegade can be thrown into the mix as well if you like since its set in the original C&C's timeline.

The Firebase will automatically fire at targets once they are in range. You can select the Firebase and fire at targets yourself as well but you should have to, this is whats called micro-mangement, Generals isn't that type of game. Don't forget that you can also garrison some infantry inside it for extra firepower.

Do you have any problems with any the games? Scan your system for viruses, spyware etc.... You said your system meets the requirements for Renegade, but post the full specs of your system here please. Other things to try...... Do a complete uninstall of Renegade, search through the Windows registry for any references to Renegade and delete all values and keys you find. Download the 1.037 patch (if you don't already have a copy of it) from http://www.cncnz.com/files/renegade/patches.shtml making sure you download the correct language version. Now reinstall Renegade, then the 1.037 patch. Forget about playing through GameSpy Arcade, when Renegade's setup asks to install it say no. Play through Westwood Online.

I've been asked about this in the past and it took me a while to find a rating system script that I liked. A month or so ago I did some testing of it but I haven't found the time to implement it yet. I won't be making any promises but hopefully I can arrange something

Can both Renegade Alert & Reborn be installed at the same time, do they conflict with each other?

The more mail that MailWasher downloads the more effective it gets. I've been using it for around a year now and I've set up many filters in it and I've built my own database of blacklisted address that MailWasher uses. Another good thing about MailWasher is the fact that its a New Zealand made program

I've got Generals, Zero Hour and Renegade installed.....I wish I had Renegade Alert though :cry:

I've often thought about shutting down some of e-mail accounts to cut the down flow of spam. I'll continue to battle it all with the MailWasher program. Great program, everyone should try it - http://www.mailwasher.net

Hey blakmaglc, quit living the past dude and move on from TS, RA etc....its all Generals and Zero Hour mixed in with Renegade these days. And games don't die, people simply move onto better games. I'm not saying that the older C&C games like TS, RA, RA2 or even the original C&C are bad but you can't keep playing for ever you know.

It wouldn't really have to be anywhere in the world. It would be via the Internet.

You just press "F" on your keyboard to change between 1st or 3rd person view. I like using 3rd person in sniper only games because you can swing the camera around corners :mrgreen:

Its an un-used feature of our forums. I really should remove the link from the nav bar at the top.

Sounds a tad un-realistic to me.

He man this idea is old now and I've basically given up on it. Plus the thought of an officall theme song for the site sound kind of corny don't you think.
