  1. I voted for "Other", since I have an NVIDIA card  On the subject of drivers though, there is nothing wrong with using an older version of the drivers if that is what gives you the best performance and/or stable gameplay etc.... You really only need to update your drivers if the game (in this case Generals) fails to run or crashes. As the old saying goes...."if it ain't broke....don't fix it".

    Revolutions

Since some of us are yet to see Revolutions no one here describe the ending please
  3. Thats a rather nasty error from such an old game  Check that you have set the right compatibility settings as it states in that guide. Also try shutting down any background apps you may have running. I'm starting to run out of ideas here...... As for your mod question. All mods are listed on the main forum index page.
  4. Are you using the latest version of Direct X and the latest version of your display drivers?

    Revolutions

I haven't seen Revolutions yet, I'll wait for the DVD.

    Your Favourite Graphics Card

I don't mind giving up fancy visuals for a solid frame rate
  7. Yeah sounds like this mod you tried messed things up. Re-installing the game following the steps on http://www.cncnz.com/features/tech/raxpfix.shtml should sort it out.
  8. Did you follow this guide? http://www.cncnz.com/features/tech/raxpfix.shtml

    Your Favourite Graphics Card

Halo looks damn good on my GeForce 4 Ti4200 so I'm happy
  10. Sounds like something is messed up somewhere You could try this. Remove Generals (and Zero Hour). Goto START > RUN, in the run box enter "regedit" (without qoutes). In REGEDIT goto EDIT then FIND and type in keywords such as "Generals" to find all references to Generals in your registry. Repeat this process for Zero Hour. Once your done with that reinstall Generals then try installing Zero Hour. Warning: Be very careful when your editing your registry!
  11. First thing to try would be to uninstall both RA2 and Yuri's Revenge. Then reinstall them. Download and install the Yuri's Revenge v1.001 patch from http://www.cncnz.com/files/yuri/patches.shtml
  12. From EA's Tech Support Site.... If your still stuck, search for other possible solutions at EA's Tech Support Site.

    Your Favourite Graphics Card

That may be the case but I can't see my self doing that  I don't see myself buying a new card anytime soon either. My trusty GeForce 4 Ti4200 will have to do for awhile. I'm just hoping it will run Half-Life 2 next year. BTW, on the subject of the poll above, I doubt anyone here will vote for either the Kyro or 3DFX based cards. If anyone here is still using an aging Voodoo card I pity them.

I've always used NVIDIA cards. The value for dollar is what keeps me buying from the NVIDIA range.
  15. The last stable release are the Hyperion 4in1s v4.49. You should download and install them. Get them from http://www.cncnz.com/files/support/drivers.shtml#via
  16. VIA recently released the latest version of their Hyperion 4in1s v4.50 drivers. For those who don't know these are motherboard/chipset drivers, if you have a VIA chipset on your motherboard its a good idea to install the latest version of VIA Hyperion 4in1s. But whatever you do don't download the latest Hyperion 4in1s v4.50 (4in1450v.zip), accorrding to reports they can really mess up your system! Check here for details: http://forums.viaarena.com/messageview.cfm...amp;STARTPAGE=2 VIA have pulled them from their site but if spot them mirrored on another site ignore them, unless you enjoy formating and re-installing Windows over and over.
  17. Yeah probably not the answer you wanted but its the only solution. You don't need one of the latest high priced cards for Generals. I use a GeForce4 Ti 4200 on a system with similar specs and I run the game in high detail. See if you can get yourself something like a GeForce4 Ti 4200 video card, they get cheaper as the months go by.

    lan games

The post above has been edited because it broke the rules about coping games. This thread in the Tech Support forum http://forums.cncnz.com/viewtopic.php?t=167 states that "Never ask for CD Keys, hacks, cracks etc or volunteer information to where they may be found/located."

We don't cover enough of the C&C news as it is now so it would only get harder if CNCNZ.com (a C&C site) covered other games. Plus it would look really strange to come a to what you would think is a C&C site to see news about the latest games like Call of Duty etc..... But as you said luk3us its just an idea  I tried a running a big gaming site a couple years ago. It was GameVault.net.nz.....you may have heard of it (yeah right).....it was designed to give NZ gamers a place to call home.....sadly it failed in big way.
  20. Glad you solved that annoying problem Kurt BTW, you can't contact EA Tech Support about the Worldbuilder, its an unsupported product. Its states that when you start the program on the small splash screen.

    Alcatel 735

I hate cellphones. All you see is people in public places thumbing away on their little keypads sending pointless text messages to each other  If I'm at work or somewhere out and about the last thing I want to do is send a text message to a mate saying "Whats up dude" :!:

    Expand to what?
  23. If I'm GDI I like using the Med Tank. When I'm Nod I go for a Stealth Tank.
  24. You should have a floating menu somwhere in the Worldbuilder window, it may be hidden just off screen.

I wouldn't bother with it. I'd just delete it.
