Good review, all bases covered. For the screen shots I'd make smaller thumbnail images to display on the page rather using your larger images and changing the height and width.

Rifter, you said in an earlier post that you have Generals installed on a different partition. If the setup is failing at the CDKey part maybe its something to do with when it checks to see if you have Generals installed. Since you have it on different partition the Zero Hour setup can't find it so it crashes.

Yeah some of the level design in Halo is a bit bland, to many corridors and rooms using the same textures/layouts etc, I like the levels in the outdoor enviroments the most. Its still a fun game to play though, hell....I've played worse. The enemy AI in Halo is good, they dive behind rocks, walls and so on. I'm glad I got Call of Duty as well, once I'm done with Halo I'll move on to that

I keep getting Technical Support Pop ups!! in ZERO HOUR
Sonic replied to a topic in Tech Discussion & Support
Generals/Zero Hour pushes your hardware so it could be caused by overheating. Although we did have another post about the same problem only he was getting these Tech Support pop up in Red Alert 2. See here http://forums.cncnz.com/viewtopic.php?t=376 And like I suggested in that thread, try searching EA's Tech Support site at http://eatech.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/eatech....er/cci/home.php See what results you get back from there. -
You are probably getting error while installing because your Anti-Virus software is confilcting. Disable the AV program then install your game.

Unfortunetly we can't help people who have copied their games. How are we to know that didn't just copy the CD from someone else? I'm not accusing you because you may have purchased the game but why destroy CD2 in the first place? This topic maybe locked soon.
-
Yes buying a legit copy of the game is the best way. And since we don't support hacked versions of any software on these forums....... ...... *** Topic Locked ***

Ok thats taking the whole Matrix thing a bit to seriously I think

I can't help you because I don't much advanced stuff about the Worldbuilder. Send a PM to Disposable Hero. He has made many Generals maps for CNCNZ.com, he knows the in's and out's of the Worldbuilder.

Have you tried searching EA's Tech Support site? http://eatech.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/eatech....er/cci/home.php

Yes I get that as well. From what I can tell its the loading of the "Topic Review" window in an IFRAME that causes it. Mostley when the topic gets longer. It will cause this "smearing" as you described it effect then all of a sudden the page pops up like normal. I've seen it on many other sites to. Since an IFRAME is basically opening another browser window inside the current page some sort of strange delay is cause due to the amount data it needs to display. It only affect IE6 because IE is the only browser that supports IFRAMES. To avoid it just wait until to page loads before you start scrolling.
-
I'm in no hurry to see it, I'll just wait for the DVD version

I'm getting Call of Duty as well now, another game to fill void until Half-Life 2 8)

The .big files are data files, opening them in something like Wordpad is not the right program. What you need is something like the BigPOP Generals Data Editor, is can be found on http://www.cncnz.com/files/generals/utils.shtml There are other utilities on that page related to editing Generals that you can download.

You will find the Hammer & Sickle for Zero Hour map right here http://www.cncnz.com/files/zero_hour/maps_sk.shtml#hammer

Generals is average, the lack to any decent storyline is a big let down. I don't even play Generals anymore. I do play the odd the game of Zero Hour though but I don't play for very long.
-
To make maps for Zero Hour you use the the Worldbuilder. You will find it by going to EA GamesCommand and Conquer Generals Zero Hour in your Start Menu, just click on Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Worldbuilder.

I do know that Enter the Matrix wants the latest drivers installed for best performance. I would just get the latest NVIDIA drivers installed, download them from http://www.cncnz.com/files/support/drivers.shtml#forcexp and well as DirectX 9.0b http://www.cncnz.com/files/support/drivers.shtml#dx9

There is no manual for the Zero Hour Worldbuilder, but the original Worldbuilder PFD manual is still good. Get that from http://www.cncnz.com/files/generals/utils.shtml#wbpdf Also take a look at RVMECH's Worldbuilder Tutorials at http://www.cncden.com/worldbuilder/ As for editing Zero Hour check out TibEd2 at http://www.tibed.net You will also find the TibEd forums here at the CNCNZ.com Forums, http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?c=4

I can't wait to play it. I've been waiting for Halo for so long. I need an FPS to keep me intrested until Half-Life 2 next year. And yes DeadEye, I ordered it from GPStore, they have the best prices for games in NZ

86%....how did you come up that? :? No one ever said that C&C was based on anything from real life. Only Generals has used real life events.
