I don't think EA have run out of ideas, they know what the fans want for the next C&C game. Either a possible Tiberian universe game (Yes please) or Red Alert 3.....thats the most likely choice I think. A Tiberian based game would be best because the release of Red Alert 2 and Yuri's Revenge really messed with storyline. I wouldn't be surprised if they resurrect the cancalled Renegade 2 project sometime in the future either. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. EA would be stupid to drop a money making franchise like C&C.

No one said you had to like them. The fact that they are different to other maps sets them apart. Makes change from the same old urban, forest, tropic, desert maps that we have. I like to call then novelty maps :wink: -unrealistic? Yes, I'll give you that but its intentionally unrealistic. When they were made it was never Disposable Hero's thought to imply that they were realistic. -boring? Well if you play on game them its no diffrent to any other map really. -no good landscape? The landscape is meant to be different, its called trying other things.

Sorry man I'm out of ideas Don't forget that the Worldbuilder is beta program so if is crashes nothing much can be done. When it crashes while loading can you try loading it again, does it work then?

Uninstall the game and make sure that all files from Program FilesEA GamesCommand & Conquer Generals and Program FilesEA GamesCommand & Conquer Generals Zero Hour have been deleted. Now re-install Generals. Update the game to v1.06, get the full update from http://www.cncnz.com/files/generals/patches.shtml. Then install Zero Hour if you have it.

Ahh yes....Fileplanet, register to download everything :roll: Dude, go and download the St Anger and CNCNZ Map for Generals or Zero Hour (versions for both), they are great maps and set during the daytime

I said that as a guess :wink:. Someone with some scripting knowledge can give a better answer. dwaynek, you could just make your Zero Hour map and use the default ZH AI, its much improved from Generals.

I always thought the camera controls (mouse/keyboard) in the game are available in the WorldBuilder to.

I've had AMD CPU's in my last 2 computer, no problems for me with AMD. So the restarts you have been getting were most likely due to over heating, don't those Thermaltake Xaser case come with the fancing monitor thing on front for checking CPU, case temps etc......? You could have used this to monitor the problems. So you had 7 fans running 3 sucking in air and 4 blowing out, thats fine but was the computer in a well ventilated area? Did you give it decent airflow. You can have all the fans you want but you need somewhere for an air intake.

As I post this my CPU is at 38.1 degrees, the heighest I've seen it get to so far was 41.2 degrees earlier this afternoon around 4 PM. I'll be contacting the place of purchase about LED problem on Monday. Its only a minor problem but I'd like them to work.

For the record thats not my CPU temp :wink:. My AMD chip is idling around 36 degress celsius. On the subject of CPU temperatures, how hot should an AMD Athlon XP 1700+ get? I haven't decided yet. I'm waiting until after the Christmas break, I'll see what is available then. All I have to do now is find out why the power LED and HDD LED don't seem to work on my new case. I've checked all the connections to the motherboard and they are plugged in correctly according to the MB manual. I suspect the actual LEDs are faulty.

I have an idea for all our memebers here who are into making Generals maps. How about re-creating the maps in Renegade? Maps such as C&C_Field, C&C_Canyon, C&C_Walls etc....just to name a few. Of course you would have enlarge things like the amount of terrain between base locations and make cliffs and hills bigger, maybe even some extras stuff. You could even place neutral structures to be captured by players. Kinda like a pre-built base or something. I've always wanted to see the Renegade maps in Generals. Does anything think is possible or even a good idea?

Cncruler, what are you asking for in return if this layout your making gets accepted?

Ahh....thats not a clock Its a digital thermomter to measure the CPU temperature. Probably won't be doing any case modding, I'm not really into that.

You can buy plain generic cases these days for very liittle money

The NZ version (EG mine) would most likely be the USA English version, same for Aussie to I guess. Although it does have small sticker on the back saying "For distribution only in New Zealand". Meaning is can't be exported to other countries. I wonder if this works the other way round though. I never paid for games like Emperor, Red Alert 2, Yuri's Revenge, Renegade or Generals. I got copies for free from Westwood/EA and they are all the USA release versions. I still have 2 spare copies of Generals and 1 YR sitting in my cupboard

I'm already on holiday....well more like time off work. Can't get holidays in December, the Christmas month gets to busy.
