Still waiting for my copy. Its now 2.30 PM on Thurday afternoon and still no damn courier. GPstore (the place where I buy most of my games) e-mailed me and told me my order has shipped.

Not really....something to aim for I guess. Before we lost the forums a couple of weeks ago we have about 230 registered users. however it was the same old problem of only a few were regular posters. Its hard to start new forums, get them active etc.....we are getting there though

Yeah Blizzard have this covered as you say....but EA wants in :wink: Just because they announced this LOTR RTS doesn't mean they are dropping C&C. EA would be stupid to forget about a popular franchise such as C&C.

If the problem has only just started to happen today it could be problem in your part of the world to do with how your ISP connects to in Internet. I don't play Generals Online so I don't really know how the whole thing works.

I think EA is making the LOTR RTS so they can capture the fantasy fans. They have serious, realism based RTS in Generals but they need something full magical beasts and spells (all the stupid crap I don't like) to compete with the likes of Warcraft 3.

I don't think that can be done. If it can....why?

Its just as easy posting in the news comments as it is posting in the forums. The benifit of the news comments it that you can have your say directly on the news page (well a pop up page anyway). Perhaps one day the news comments can become part of the forums.

I use Outlook Express as well, but I run MailWasher before I download my e-mail into Outlook Express. Got to combat the spam :wink:

I'm not a fan of LOTR or fantasy based games like Warcraft 3. My brother plays Warcaft 3 a lot and to me it looks like one big messy animated saturday morning kids cartoon. I have no interested in this new EALA developed LOTR RTS game.

Well all I can say is the comment posting feature is there, use if you want to. Its not more job to force people to to use it. Same for the forums here. I guess most visitors just read the latest updates and then leave. Its just really sad to see thme not being used at all most of the time. I must admit that rarely post comments on sites with other such features as well. ruthless.com, what did you mean by that last post? Did you think I wanted you to leave these forums? Hell no!!

Have you seen the front page of CNC Den lately Uni? Lots of news updates with 20+ comments. I'm not expecting that on CNCNZ.com but I did expect a few more than zero.

Its set up there for future use. I haven't decided on the best way to use the polls yet. I need to come up with ways so that people who visit the front page will want to click on a link to get to the poll voting page. At this stage I'm thinking of using the area below the "Webmaster's Wire" box, where the links to "Submit News" and "Upload Files" currently is.

A few days before we had all the problems and lost the forum database the forums as they were then were just starting to pick up. It took about 3 months to get them to that point. It was always going to be hard to rebuild the forums again.

Eventually someone will make a mod to enable it multiplayer/skirmish games I guess.

I like a challenge so I'll take stab at it. I'd say you live in the Netherlands. Am I right?

No I'm not kidding. I'm not sure if its official though, after all it was the E! News Live program and they were just reporting the industry rumours they pick up. I think The Rock is a good actor, he was right for the Scorpion King, his new movie opens soon.

You should buy it. Renegade Online is great fun and there always lots of people playing online. If you pick the right servers to play on you can have some awesome games. I play online often. As for single player Renegade, you should play through it, you could probably rip throught it in a day or two. The AI is crap but there is some great humor from Havoc in the cutscenes as the story unfolds. In the later levels in sort of links to the Tiberian Dawn story to the Tiberian Sun story. So yeah you might as well get it, its cheap, you've got nothing to loose :wink:

It was Time Warner/AOL or something, it was Time Warner that dropped the AOL part. AOL still continue to piss people off.

On the E! channel that other day they said that Predator 3 is going to be made, the story with the Dutch character (Arnie's role in Predator) will be continued but Arnie will not reprise the role. It will instead be taken over by none other than The Rock (WWE, Scorpion King etc....)
