Unless there's a really good (Dutch) pre-order deal, which almost never happens, I will get the Steam version. I'm getting all my games there, because not having to reinstall them when I reinstall Windows is a real time-saver. Hopefully they do some kind of launch deal of "get Uprising for free with C&C4".

Ah man, end of a game project (C&C4), people move on. Remember how David Silberman moved on like over a year ago? C&C will survive, though I will miss his energetic talking. He's like this in real life as well. Lets wait and see where he goes next!

It was great meeting you at CommandCom, Jeff. All the best!

There is no way to do this with TibEd, and I think even the C&C95 expert, Nyerguds, doesn't have all the information for the weapons. C&C95 wasn't designed to be modded, so that's why it is a bit limited in what you can change.
-
There haven't been any substantial changes since older TibEd versions in this regard, so I would not expect them to work better. What you're saying is that some changes work, but not changes to weapons? And those are all located in the Rules.ini? Or some in the Art.ini?

Dune2000: Unknown Bytes for Units & Buildings
Koen replied to Jorge's topic in TibEd Technical Support
Me too -
Geo, this shouldn't be related to the trial period at all. If TibEd is still responsive, can you try to go to the "Debug" tab, and press the "Show Log" button? The text in that window will tell me what the "uncaught exception" is. That will help in narrowing it down.
-
If you're playing a mission, be sure to restart the mission, as saved games contain rules data. If it's not working in Skirmish, something else is going on. You can confirm there is a rules.ini in the game folder (and it's been recently altered?)?

I'm KoenTibEd. And I have played more games online with the C&C4 beta than with both RA3 and C&C3. I'm even useful to the team, as long as they are at least smart enough to deploy their crawler next to a TCN node (instead of camping out in the starting zone...)
-
That could mean he's really old. I think the whole "we need to wrap up the Kane story before Joe Kucan starts to look older" is an important detail. Kane doesn't age, or at least very slowly.
-
And what happens when you start the C&C3 control center (look for it in the start menu), and go to the mod browser tab? And then select a mod? Is your game patched to v1.10 (or was v1.9 the latest)?

'RICHTX32.OCX' is missing! I can't start Tibed 1.71
Koen replied to Caio Zowye Camacho Cabral's topic in TibEd Technical Support
TibEd normally registers this file for you upon installation. Have you ran the installation using an Administrator-account (with administrative priviliges?). Installing this might help: http://www.tibed.net/download?ocxfix And sometimes rebooting your machine helps. -
They really are very negative on the forums. Surprising really, but they take a lot for granted.

I entered as well. Though ultimate is always relative, my 1-year old PC Core i7 would probably perform about equally. But I wouldn't mind winning the game.
-
I didn't get my Kane picture autographed at CommandCOM with "The Messiah never dies" for nothing
-
Well, Kane is the good guy. :kw:

I'm getting C&C4 on Steam, so I have to be online anyway to play it. The "not having to reinstall dozens of DVD's" with a reinstall/new PC is so great about Steam. Just copy the Steam folder, and hit "update" to make it reinstall all your games in 5 minutes.

Are the CNCNZ guys even testing and playing Rev 10?
Koen replied to Malevolence's topic in Tiberian Twilight
I was on Holiday during New Years. But now I'm back for rev 11. And the main problem with rev 10 was that I couldn't get into a game - waiting 3 minutes was really annoying, only to not get a match with anyone. With rev 11 I've already played 3 games. -
I put in two games with the new beta. It surprised me that playing it... actually works pretty well. But you have to unlock new units and level up first, before you get all the cool stuff
-
Well, changing the offsets in the C&C95 executable would be a pain in terms of support - as it will break the current editor. The mismatch between different versions would be hard to resolve cleanly, as TibEd 1 can't do any identification. This issue is currently already there for the Dune 2000 editor; the user should upgrade the game to v1.06 first, or face mayhem, as all the offsets changed in that patch.
-
That's what I get for changing old editors... an untested change which was lying around got included. Updated 1.71. V09 might be the sign bit, and the TibEd1 code has never been tested with that sign bit, so it would probably introduce many bugs. You probably know this already, but certain units don't have a LONG for the BuildPrequisites but a CHAR (1 byte), so of course not all prereq's can be set for those. But that has always been like that.
-
I seem to be running rev8 right now? Or is that a glitch in the launcher? What happened to rev9?
-
I've added up to and including V08. It's in TibEd 1.71.
-
I played a 4vs4 last Sunday, that was pretty nice. I had no clue what was going on it the game or what to build, but playing Defense class and camping at one of the TCN nodes is pretty deadly. I don't get the harvesting at all though. What's the point? Research points? It doesn't make sense at all.

From my memory/guesstimates: - C&C3: 1.5 million - RA3: 1.2 milion
