Lag in single player, but not multiplayer...

That could be possible, but would effect an emulated VCD version of it? I use Gamedrive 9.0 to play without CDs, and never had a problem before. I guess I will try this on other systems. Thanks for the feedback. Oh, and yes; I have tried playing with the original Cds

Did that also, still no luck. I am going to assume someone will ask, so to save time... I have tried reinstalling the game, drivers and stoped all non critical process. I have adjusted the setting in the video drivers as well. I checked the EA help (useless) and tried to emulate the disc. I am also having the same problem on my other computer running 2K, so I don't think its a windows issue. No matter what I do, it still only works in multi palyer, so i reinstalled all of the LAN and Internet drivers, and just for the heck of it, I switched to my on board network card. I also tried to play on a Power user and Admin account. I defragged my hard drive and did a registry cleanup. I Also got rid of all my temp files. That just about covers it.

No, thats not it. That was the first thing I tried, and it is the same on minimal detail. I also tried changing the game speed, but it does not help either.

Yes, I am using Service Pack 2, and for the sound card; I have a Turtle Beach: Santa Cruz. As for Compatibility, I have tried to run the game in 95, 98 and 2k compatible mode. It still makes no difference.
  5. I built my own computer, and it exceeds the recommended requirements, but for some strange reason, there is a slight lag in single player, and not in multi. It must have to do with new software because I never had this problem before a year ago. I suspect it has something to do with the video card or drivers, because it seems to get slightly better with the Omega drivers, instead of the catalyst. I am using a Radeon 9800 PRO 128 with over a Gig of high speed RAM, and an AMD 2800+ CPU. To be more specific, the lag has more of a skip when scrolling the screen over. The splash screen in the menus, work just fine and the cinematics work, just not single player. All of my drivers are up to date and I am using Window XP Pro. Does anyone have any ideas?
