Of course, although it depends on the situation. Usually I stick the Tech Tree I chose before starting a game, but, say, I'm Yuri, and I would like a subsitute for the Mastermind, then grabbing a Battle Fortress from the Allied Tech Tree dosen't hurt one bit. Of course, build order can become cluttered. But nothing beats combining Yuri, Allied and Soviet Tech trees and making a massive defence force in the form of Tank Bunkers holding Prism Tanks, Gattling Tanks and Apocalypse Tanks Then again, stealing the enemy construction yard with Yuri Prime, moving it away from his base, forcing him to build another one (if he was smart enough to build a service depot) and then giving it back to him only to destroy it with a squadron of Harriers/Kirovs is a surefire way of stressing your enemy out to no end. :lol: :lol:

Awww, hey, take it easy on us 3rd generation people :lol: Perhaps I should've introduced myself a little more properly, but hey, I saw this site, thought, 'woah, a CNC site run by a NZer, with other NZer's within?' and joined up. I don't mean to spam as much as I seem to, I just happen to be on the computer and more attentive to the forums more often that some people. That strategie is one i sometimes use It really -REALLY- infuriates other people when they have a massive destructive menance taking out their power when seconds before it was a large squadron of infantry However a SEAL/Tanya/Boris I.F.V. (if you have both Soviet and Allied tech for the last combo) will take out those Brutes in about 30 seconds flat. Or you could just fill a BF with SEALs. Or, you can use Viruses. Snipers in a BF also make taking them out a breeze. Take it from me I've used those strategies and had them used against me. OH! Gattling weapons, Tesla weapons and Prism weapons are also very effective. There ya go.

I know what you mean dude, however I actually played a french player the other day who only build ONE Grand Cannon, but oh god, did he build Aircraft Carriers! On Bay of Pigs no less . Bloody hell..my computer almost crashed from the amount of hornets he sent my way (I was Yuri btw) and I had spent most of my cash on Gattling Cannons + Gattling Tanks in Tank Bunkers to fend 'em off, then a large chunk of my cash went to a massive fleet of Boomers to level his ally's base (who was Korean), and guess what I found? NO AA!!! Perfect!! Levelled his ally's base in short order. THEN!! DOLPHINS!! HEAPS OF THE BUGGERS!! Man...my Boomers got pawnd so bad..which is embarrassing. Didn't see the outcome of the game, as I had to quit out early because of work. Oh well.

:lol: King I didn't mean it like that at all, I know what you mean, as since getting RA2 and then YR I've played the damn thing to bits..mostly because it's the only game I actually have that works on my computer. I know that if I were to get Generals + Zero Hour and play -them- to bits, I'd immediatly get excited about YR again. Just like what your said. I didn't mean it in an offensive way, sorry if it seemed like that.

Haha, on the contrary, there are heaps of people there. Well, except for the International lobby. Now -that- is a desolate place. You forgot the people who play online, and just before they loose, they quit the game, because they can't accept defeat. Idiots I say. Cheers Fenring! Finally got the general idea, though I was pretty scared I'd bugger up the game and I'd have to do a complete re-install. Which is no biggie, really, but it takes waay too long. Haha, although, Orange is the new Black. Not quite what I'd hoped (making Black a selectable colour instead of just replacing the values of an existing colour)...but, oh well. I'll just change it back to normal and make pink black instead. Problem is, when you build a superweapon, you can't view the counter, and the messages that appear in the top left don't show up either. Oh well. Hehe, still gotta see what the Allies look like with black beams for their prism towers/tanks. And black Black Eagles :lol: :lol: And thanks Z, I'm gunna try the BF-with-gattling-cannon-thing now. And other things. I'll keep ya posted.

Haha, okay I know this is going to sound bad, but how exactly do you get to (and -then- edit) the rules.ini file? Sure, it's all well and good telling me to change this and that, but...I did mention I was a total n00b at this, right? :lol: :oops: I've had RA2/YR for how many years and I still haven't forayed into .ini editing yet? :lol:
