s'okie. there are a lot of good picture sites out there... i don't really use them though :\ i generally just upload my stuff to my freewebs site xD you can either upload to something like deviant art or flickr and just post a link to the place, or you can upload to an actual picture site (photobucket? iuno...) or a private site then post a direct link to the picture using the picture button here and it'll show as an actual image on the site, which will resize if it's too big o.o

you shouldn't take that away from the kids at that age. i mean come on they have to spend the rest of their lives knowing their lives (probably) suck ass and not everything is perfect with sparkles... might as well at least give them that happy fantasy world for a few years. if only to let them have a happy childhood. if you mess them up from a young age it'll mess them up in later life y'know... basic psychology x3

well either way, you agree that we should have and perfect the technology yes? even if we don't give it to the masses, it's a good backup to have should something occur to humanity which makes us unable to produce normally. could range from anything between mass erectile dysfunction to a disease that kills all the women in the world. either way, whatever happens it would be good to have some kind of fallback should something happen... also i'm thinking that if they did do this and allow people to test it, they'd probably realise after the first generation if there was something in the genes that they had missed out. then they either create that gene synthetically... or at least take the gene from a third person and insert it until they CAN create it synthetically (hey, a baby made almost totally from both the original partners is better then only one right?) because i doubt the government would go ahead and allow the babies to go ahead with them missing something and the scientists knowing about it... i can understand the process continuning if it was nothing noticable and no-one knew, but if they know they would most likely go ahead and fix the darn thing before it becomes a large scandal (unless it works out cheaper to try and cover it up... XD) so unless there was something definately left out and no-one tried to replace it, i don't think there is any reason why they shouldn't let people do it o.o

...american pie... kinda shows you the level of intelligence, humour and morality here doesn't it? why would you people even watch that crap? any of those movies. i mean GUH seriously >.<; a lil while ago i was watching "Deck the halls", that christmas comedy with danny devito and matthew broderick. i'm not usually a big fan of family comedies... especially not festive/holiday ones. but with those two stars in it, i HAD to see it. (mainly due to my "thing" for broderick since watching godzilla. go figure xD) ...it gives you an idea of the crud on tv right now x3; i couldn't find anything to watch after that. was planning on watching one of the many dvds i bought a while ago but i figured "oh, i'll just go on CNCNZ for a while..." aaand go figure. i've been on here friggin ages >_> the dvds i bought (i don't think i've mentioned yet. and they were GREAT deals...) are: jack brooks; monster slayer (b-movie/horror comedy in the vein of evil dead, gremlins and from dusk til dawn... haven't watched it yet but the cover just made me go "BUY! NAO!" XD got it for about £12...) aaaand then there was a special deal i noticed; get a dvd for £9 OR 3 for £20 OR 5 for £30. guess what i did? "FIVE DVDS FOR THIRTY POUND? HOO RAH JACKPOT!" (which i actually yelled out quite loudly...) i got... the omega man (that old post-apocalyptic horror with charlton heston) dogma (that EXCELLENT film 4 movie about the new biblical apocalypse. dark comedy with numerous stars...) shoot 'em up (that action comedy. i looked at the cinema adverts and didn't wanna watch it. it came on the tv, i watched it out of curiousity and i loved it from the first five minutes. i am in love with this movie XD) dairy of the dead (another romero one though not as famous as the others...) aaand lastly there was Rambo. first of all when i saw it, i thought it was the ORIGINAL rambo as in the first movie... turns out it's the new movie. (£9 for a brand new movie? it gets better...) ontop of the normal dvd case is this really fancy bamboo strip cover... and not a cheap thing. this is high quality. the best cover i've ever seen for a dvd infact... thing strips of bamboo, stitched onto some kind of sheet cotton back. it's really flexable and it ties together with a little black string. that whole rambo dvd for £9. but it gets BETTER... turns out when i open it up, i discover that inside there is a voucher for you and 11 friends to play paintball for a whole day FREE. i read everything and from what i understand, it is an excellent deal. the voucher runs out on the 31st... (however that is only the BOOKING time that runs out. you can book it for later... you just have to actually set it up before the end of the month o.o) aaand each player has to pay a £10 deposit (which they get back if they turn up to the game xD) pretty awesome no? all that in one little dvd... i don't care how crap the actual movie if, for a case cover like that and the voucher i would have paid the £9 by itself XD http://www.zavvi.co.uk/rambo-Rambo-Exclusi...4/q.r10.1/p.jsf link to the dvd from the store i got it, (assuming the link works and won't change every so often...) so once i've finished all the typing on the forum i'm probably gonna go watch some of these movies xD

aaaah don't even ask about the furc windows >.>; what? you think my life revolves around you guys here? what kind of company are you all? you're all pretty much red blooded redneck males apart from a couple of you xD -start of rambling. skip past to get to anything remotely related to the conv- even the couple of you who aren't i can't fully confide in... and it's not like msn has an easy-member search feature or anything (no doubt it probably does, but i'm willing to bet those who choose to be listed on it are twilight fangirls with sparkles and myspace fans, or those poseur type chavvy or guido guys y'know? so i pretty much meet people through furc or games. and most games are filled with people who have no patience for anything or are just bigass horny rednecks who just want sex :\ at least on furc i can find real friends... *cue onslaught of "go out and get a life" messages* aaaand to combat that response before it happens; i'm messed up with post traumatic stress so i have extreme social issues. also there is the fact that meeting people face to face really doesn't give you the chance to get to know them properly. people look at you and make snap judgements... and the majority of people my age in this area are all "scene" and poseurs, or other cliches. they all hang around in their little groups. i don't fit into ANY of them. online i can find people who have the same tastes as me and i can get to know them for as long as i want before sharing personal secrets with or whatever... -end ramble, insert on-topic rambling- aaaaanyway. sadly bush is such a poor speaker... but he has given us some classic bushisms xD also introducing them to the real world (to some extent) is good... but you really should let the children enjoy their youth. you only get to experience it once, so why take it away from them so fast? .-. introduce them to things as they begin to ask questions or you feel they should know about things. basic laws should probably be taught from a very young age (murder = bad, stealing = bad etc etc...) and really any kind of politics should probably be left until later life... i mean if you tell them that terrorists are bad and terrorists are middle easterners, do you really think they are gonna be friendly to that muslim kid in school? sex should probably be taught within limitation as they ask questions. i mean if they are really young you aren't gonna be educating them on the life of ron jeremy are we? but telling them some bull about storks and flower babies and stuff is more a hinderance then aid... and later on once you DO have to tell them about sex, or give your child more in-depth talks like if they reach puberty or something... i'd guess a good helping of sexual health would be good too xD i don't know about NZ or the US, but in the uk becoming pregnant has been a popular fad amongst chavs. along with taking drugs, ciggies and drinking, having at least one baby is a "must have"... i don't know about you all but should i have a child later on i do NOT want them getting pregnant (or getting someone pregnant) at 12. apart from all the moral issues i'd have with it there is the whole actually SUPPORTING a child :\ -end ramble full this time xD- but yah. educate them on it but don't steal their youth. let them enjoy it whilst they can. why should they realise they are stuck in this hellhole upon hitting 5 years old? <3

these tv series' make me cry. that and 24. they took a 1-series thing and have dragged it out into a continous thing because they've realised they can make money from it as nmenth said... i didn't even bother to start watching prison break when it started. i mean seriously, a whole SERIES about escaping from a prison? even in a high-max prison you couldn't waste that much tv time on it unless they are going to spend show after show of the characters lounging around in cells and avoiding bending over in the showers... and what is with the mapbody thing? who the heck ruins their body with complex plans tattoo'd all over them? and even if they are some kind of complex puzzle, surely one of the guards would have examined it and worked it out? they spend every day of their lives trying to work out how prisoners would escape and foiling plans. i'm sure they probably explained this whole thing in the series, but it seems a little over the top and hollywoodized for my tastes... 24 was the same deal. okie, a series which follows 24 hours in the worst day of some guy's life trying to solve a terrorist plot or something... that i can deal with. but they're on, what, the 5th or 6th day now? i somewhat doubt that that much action could happen that constantly to one guy xD i considered watching the new mini-movie thing which happened inbetween the other days or something cos it looked interesting... when it came on the tv i changed my mind XD yah... shows that just drag it out repeatedly just don't do it for me in the slightest. everythnig does it now. i don't watch any of them xD

well i'm pretty sure the points of this are that most average people (remembering that once again, the majority of any country are low intelligence...) wouldn't have a clue. all they know, it that the device is a fire extinguisher and that is a fire. they put two and two together and try to work it, reading the instructions enough to work the thing or just trying it. most people i've seen put out fires don't even realise you can move the funnel and hose around instead of leaving it stuck to the extinguisher body xD now this is all fair if the right extinguishers are in the right place... but if you get them mixed up, more times then not it'll end up in a bigger fire or simply not having any effect at all. all this has done is left the person in with the fire for longer... probably resulting in them inhaling invisible fumes or allowing the fire to spread more. if you have a fire extinguisher in the house, anyone old enough to even lift the thing should be taught how to use it. as well as taught basic fire safety... it's fair enough for a healthy adult to try fighting a fire, but what about a child or an old person? even if they manage to put the fire out, they may inhale plastic vapours or something which is enough to damage them internally... is it really worth it? personally i don't think so. okay, yes, a lot more items and possibly even whole properties may end up being destroyed in the time it takes a fire service to get there... but surely that is better then having someone -die- or end up with permanent side effects from either inhaling chemicals or suffering burns... and if the fire is that small, it could probably be dealt with in other means anyway. if it's big enough to make someone think they need an extinguisher, it's probably going to get out of control in a short period of time anyhow... if fire extinguishers stay, train the people how to use them properly, and tell them in what situation they should run and what situation they should fight. just basic fire safety would probably save so many lives every day :\

it did say "bad smell" or something on the page before they picked the cards. each words on the page were a hint to the punishment, then they pick the cards to see who gets it xD i'm thinking it was probably some kind of stink bomb. though i didn't see anything actually inside the box bubble like liquid at the bottom or anything so it could have been anything. i don't think they would have done anything actually dangerous... but there must have been -something- in there unless he was just acting. acting wouldn't surprise me... i doubt the slapping thing hurt that bad, seeing as the black guy was getting hit on the arm too and he wasn't reacting to it. i'm still kind of curious as to what that "show" is called... because i could have sworn i heard them saying things in english and with american accents... and i'm thinking it was most likely intended for western audiences to view, otherwise why the english words? not to mention the fact it was pretty obviously staged there in some library. i know japanese (and possibly other asian cultures?) have strong moral systems and will pretty much ignore things like that, but to that extent? surely the librarian would have kicked them out unless everyone in there were actors paid to pretend it was an ordinary situation... but whatever, there i go overthinking the situation again. there could have been anything in that bubble, it's just because there were no visible elements it makes it hard to guess or work it out...

pish. note the "hallmark blockbuster movies" are almost always HOLLYWOOD movies. they don't require much. just a fancy director, expensive actors and lots of action and CGI. they are rarely ever technically or historically correct. they are simply made to cry to the masses and make as much money as possible... large scale movies -have- been made before, but never (to my knowledge) in the style that i'm talking about. they are usually just bigass battles with lots of extras and stuff. because most movie companies won't pay out for a cast list that large to feature in most of the movie... normally in these large scale movies you have about 5 big stars then lots of extras who get one scene, maybe a couple more if they didn't die in the previous one or if they are facing away from the camera... there have been a few large scale movies (battle of the bulge, a bridge too far...) and they did have quite a few famous actors. they were "hallmark blockbuster movies" WHEN THEY CAME OUT. nowadays no-one much knows about them because the majority of the population who watch movies only watch the latest crud pumped out by hollywood. and those two examples were GOOD movies. do you really think anyone is gonna give a darn about the new transformers movie 20 or 30 years from now? or heaven forbid, twilight? XD when i went to a convention near the start of this year, the guy who voiced bumblebee was there. he said ONE line in the ENTIRE movie. and there was a queue of about 50 people all pretty much orgasming to speak to him. whereas david prowse (also there. the body of vader in the original movies) didn't have ANYONE speaking to him the whole time i was there. the funny thing was, the new transformers movie was average at best. oh yes, don't get me wrong. real pretty cgi. but that was it. it made the real transformers' fans CRY. the only reason it got so much press was because it was hollywood. they have the power to put their movies all over the world, as well as advertising it to everyone. so in return, hundreds and hundreds of little nooblets went out to see the movie, and because they don't know a real movie if it kicks them in the nuts, they of course LOVE the movie and will defend it to death. not to mention the fact that most people are apparently BLIND and can't see cgi at all... i can understand some of the newer movies fooling some people. from some angles some things do look real. but it really doesn't take a genius to see when most things are CGI... let's take, for example, when final fantasy; the spirits within came out shall we? a lot of people i knew thought it was REAL PEOPLE in the movie. eeeyah don't believe the average person when they start going "OMG OMG OMG THIS MOVIE RULZ!" if they are just some teenager who watches the latest bigscore movies. personally i'd rather trust the people who search out and watch lots of movies, good and bad, purposely so they can find the pick of the crop and the true gems out there... also, if you're going to watch horror and things like Ring or Grudge, watch the original asian versions. they were actually scary...

there you go xD everything has a monopoly on it (in the west anyway...). with search engines it's google... with OS's it's microsoft... with video displaying it's youtube. they get any competitors, they buy them out. simple as that. if this nico site does come to the west, fully translated i'm not saying that it'll be bought out, but it just won't succeed. everyone is used to youtube. this other site when brought over would either have no content first of all because it's just started up, or all the videos, members and comments already on the site would be in asian languages and moonspeak. even most of the hardcore weeaboos get lost on sites with moonspeak, how do you think all our parents and such are going to manage? they're gonna take one look at it and go "i don't understand this. i don't like it. it's not like youtube. i've got an account and i just learnt how to upload my videos on youtube..." and the only videos on this nicovid site that youtube apparently steals are ASIAN videos. i somewhat doubt that they are the first to upload AMERICAN comedies, BRITISH adverts, or generally any western or european songs. youtube is generally made up of music, AMV's, tv shows, funny movie sections and little family videos which people have uploaded of their kitten spinning in circles or their baby mis-pronouncing words so they sound rude. yes, SOME of the videos, normally music videos or random quiz-show type things... normally those random shows where cute japanese girls have to do weird things to win and so on. and those are normally uploaded by westerners who don't have a clue what is going on and just want to laugh at those "wacky japs"... the asian music videos are almost always uploaded by weeaboos or the occassional asian who got lost. then the vid gets spammed with comments of weeaboo fangirls swooning over how cute that boy band is... you have to remember the people that hang around on youtube. it's generally everyone in america (continent) and europe. from small children to middle aged parents to old grandparents o.o; a large percentage of these people are not likely to give up something which they know and trust, and change to something which is in a language they don't understand and can't even guess at because it doesn't even use the english alphabet XD

trust me, a movie collection is definately fun... it's always a bonus to have if you have friends/family/partners visiting... the larger your collection gets, the bigger the chance you have a movie they haven't seen. what i'm doing is generally getting movies that i love. you just have to look at my collection to see my tastes. i've got less then 1/3 of the movies i LOVE but i'm slowly working on it :3 the good thing is that dvds are a much better medium then VHS casettes. the VHS was a good system but it was too easy to horribly destroy the 'tape y'know? you could spend 20 years saving it and when you get around to showing it to someone, a crappy VHS recorder tries to play it and eats the tape. but you can't really do that with DVD's... though they still are quite delicate. although they are made from mainly plastic, if you keep them in bad conditions they will deteriorate. but if you are keeping them all on your bedroom wall or something and you save them for a long time, it really doesn't matter if the system becomes defunct. chances are blu-ray will take over, but dvds still have a good 5 - 20 years left in them. and after that, everyone will still have dvd players, games consoles and pc dvd drives which run dvds... they are a good system and there are MANY different methods to run them on. if you keep the dvd and case in good enough quality, when you're an old person they may be worth something :3 well. maybe not... chances are the whole collection will become pointless within a decade. but so long as -YOU- still have at least one type of DVD player, dvds will be around for a long time even if they stop being made. chances are a lot of movies on dvd nowadays just wouldn't be made into the next-gen movie system y'know? all of those b-movies or whatever. a lot of movies simply won't be made because there was no public outcry for them... i've already noticed this happening with kid's tv series i used to watch. they exist on VHS (scantly) but because the VHS is such an unreliable system and there weren't that many players for them, they have vanished into history. thankfully some are being saved and advanced... such as C.O.P.S (not the reality show, the animation. it was awesome), and Jayce & the Wheeled Warriors. that was excellent but at the moment the full series dvds are only in french... you can only get like, 5 episodes in english now :\ aaaaanyway. yah, find a genre that you like, get all the movies you LOVE then start searching for other movies of the genre that you have not seen or heard of and get them. sometimes they are bad, sometimes they are good. it's always worth getting though...

well evolutionary changes would take place over an extremely long time. and when we DO see changes, they are marked out as freaks... and in theory the evolution should still be able to take place... these children are being created from the genes and DNA of their parents, just same sex parents. so they should still have all the same details as their parents, and the same ability to evolve. for all we know, creating babies from same-sex parents may bring out previously overlooked genes. these children may end up being more intelligent or unlocking more brain potential and becoming psychic. then again they may end up receiving backward genes... we just don't know yet. but chances are it won't be a problem. so long as the babies are being created from seperate people evolution is always possible... the only time proper evolution wouldn't occur would be if the parents of the baby were brother and sister or something. in that situation the baby would just not have any new DNA, however because it would most likely be created in a laboratory they'd be able to weed out any genetic issues normally created by inbreeding XD but if you're going down that route you might as well go the whole way and just use only yourself as the parent but that would just be cloning x3 which IS morally and ethically debatable o.o; apart from the obvious problems of possible bad people being cloned or brought back to life, there is the debate of how would a clone cope with being a clone? though this is a seperate topic altogether. to cut it short, i really don't think there would be too much of an issue with evolution and babies created with same-sex parents... only time it would be an issue would be if there was a key gene that say, gave you an extra eye or hyper intelligence and it only occured in say, females... and by some strange co-incidence every baby born suddenly had this gene except for the male-male couple babies... i mean let's face it, evolution takes SO long to happen and become wide-spread that this same-sex method of birthing just wouldn't cause an issue...

also lawl. a lil while ago (well. a few HOURS ago now...) i was typing a message and looked up to discover a "largest female driving school in the uk" with the message "leran to drive!" on it... i instantly screenshotted it and added it to the post. i believe it is in the pictures topic xD also -someone- is making money for the adverts on here... just because it's not you making the money you shouldn't block them from it :3 probably only like, $0.001 or something for every page you view... but it's still profit! a real one would probably be better... but yah, transporting the thing here and there, the constant cost of buying a new tree every year... not to mention my moral objection to killing a tree just so we can satisfy our want to have a pretty decoration for christmas. i mean y'know, i could get a realistic looking fake tree for a lot cheaper which would be easily reuseable and a lot tidier... guess it's just personal preference. some people like chicken, some people like beef. personally i go for lamb xD -cue pointless rambling- ...yah. go figure. i'm buddhist and i get all weird and moral over a tree but i'll happily eat a baby sheep. my logic behind this is simple: if it wants to hurt me for no reason besides the fact that it is aggressive, then i have no problem with killing and/or eating it xD at least, so long as it is a quick relatively painful death. i know i know everyone is gonna say things like "but in takeaways and supermarket food they slit the throats of the animals and let them bleed out and they die slowly!" NOT TRUE. that is called "halal", and it is a primarily muslim practice, as well as "kashrut" which is a similar jewish practice. i don't know about america, but in the UK standard animals are killed in various other "humane" methods... normally with high powered cattle prods or those stakegun things which basically put a bigass metal pole through the cow's head. the only place you will see "halal" in the uk is on packages/restaurants/takeaways with it marked CLEARLY (as it's illegal to do halal and not mark it as such, and likewise the otherway round with killing in other means and marking as halal), these are very much kept in order by strict muslims/jews and animals rights activists o.o anyway back to my original point. i could never eat halal/kashrut and if i had to kill an animal myself, it would have to be absolutely necessary and quick... i know scientists say that the second animal's receive a large amount of pain they are instantly filled with feel-good hormones and such so they don't feel any pain... this may be true. but personally if i see a cow or pig laying on the floor and spasming that normally means they ain't enjoying it... also my main reasons for eating lamb is 1) it is VERY tasty when it's made right, and 2) lambs seem to hate me for some unexplainable reason. started from a young age before i had even started eating lamb. they tried to eat me. so i was so very happy to try eating them when offered >-> -end pointless rambling- so yah. i like fake trees which we can buy once and use forever until it breaks, sets on fire, explodes or all the bristles eventually fall out xD

think* ...how can you spell apparently and suggestions but not spell think? o_O anyway... how can you have everything you want? o-o; you must be either really rich or have really low standards x3; there are loads of new games out at the moment. get some of them. if you can't run them, ask for new computer parts or a console or something. if you're really not bothered about games, ask for dvds. there are so many movies out there... chances are you can find at least ONE movie you'd love... if it's sci-fi, war, classic horror or b-movie chances are i've either seen it or know about it o.o; but there is always another movie out there. thus my quest goes on :3 but yah. there must be SOMETHING you're interested in? games, movies, books, toys, collectables... i mean come on there are millions of things out there. apart from the obvious point that you're hanging about on a C&C forum you must do -something- other then sit on your butt playing a C&C game all day o.o;
