oh o.o hmm... have to look into that :3 interesting... probably be pretty good, most of cleese's humour is more intellectual or wit... so i'd probably enjoy that a lot more instead of the random stupid things. and hopefully the lack of random cartoon sequences inbetween.

McDonald's Sued Over Nude Photos
Mina Synd replied to Doctor Destiny's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
what is wrong with these people? XDDDD i'm pretty much stunned at that... in so many ways. though i can understand the way they reacted by sueing and such. photos like that, especially with the address and phone number, can be HEAVILY damaging :\ no doubt it's on 4chan by now x3; but gah. it's one thing for the McD's staff to steal the photos... but putting them online? and with details? that's just bad... i should really make a comment about them leaving his phone there with no kind of password system on it at all, but go figure. for all we know he could have had bluetooth on and some pervert could have hacked his phone and stolen them xD (which is far easier then you'd think. my little cousin has discovered this and hacked one of his girlfriends' phone to show just how easy it was. note one of his girlfriends, not one of her phones XD) but y'know i REALLY can't say anything about people leaving stuff behind. it's very easy to do... i have obsessive compulsive disorder and i've left a couple of items around before... (lost a coat in school, and left my wallety thing in the co-op shop at the till before XD didn't notice the latter until i had got home. i had turned my compy an tv an everything on... was just taking everything off and putting all my stuff away and realised my wallet was gone xD; so i had to run all the way back to the shop and grab it from the rather attractive young male attendant #>->#; who now waves and snickerfits everytime i go in the shop >->;; to my knowledge nothing was missing. money was still there, all my cards were still there. but i also have about 30 homemade business cards so he might have nicked one of them. but no-one has added me to msn that i didn't already know... so go figure xD) -
if you find any differences, let me know xD cos i haven't seen any yet >->

wow so many things to comment on... 1) you egostistical maniac saracen. you not the kitten XD 2) never much cared for invader zim... even less for spongebob >-> i just want to set spongebob on fire with napalm then give him the death of 1000 paper cuts... 3) of course that picture makes sense. either vader is real cheap with water, or he's trying to do the die hard water bomb thing XD WHICH HE FAILS AT BECAUSE HE'S TAKING THE WEIGHT OF THE SALT OUT OF THE WATER D:< xDDDD 4) bly, you fail at military identification >-> both at the political coverups and ACTUALLY naming the objects xD but at least you got the enterprise right. but the picture failed at correctly showing the enterprise >-> much too big of a gap between the naselles and the saucer XD what i wanna know is why C? the A class was the one that got spotted by the american military xD (see "tomorrow is yesterday" episode 1x21 x3) 5) anime, definately. it is so very needed. but a manga would be better... if that gets made into an anime later on then go with it xD but that picture doesn't work. inncorrect uniform aaaand wrong colour hair >-> i swear i've seen that picture from an anime somewhere and someone has just slapped an RA3 logo on it because it looks similar... could be wrong... but you'd think the hair thing would have been more noticable...

lawl XDDDD gawd those live chats are so funny... i've had a few encounters with the AOL live tech support. oh geez that was entertaining. and sadly the second time resulted in my humiliation >->; basically i just lost all my download speed (i could load webpages no problem but actually downloading files was nigh impossible. think 20kbps max... P2P programs worked fine.) so after about a week of this i just figured it was too much. i had this problem before and it had lasted about half a month or more because AOL were upgrading the connection... so i figure i'd go in the live support and ask them what was happening... so i go in, start chatting to the guy. obviously foreign and using the standard textbook... we went through the zillion standard questions asking just about every little detail... then he tells me that AOL has been bought by Carphone warehouse (this instantly worrying me on the spot as i had heard them to be one of the -worst- ISP's in the country...) and he tells me that i'm on the old aol servers and must put in a new router aol sign-on name... so he creates one for me and sends me the details, then explains what to do to set it up. so i leave the chat with happy goodbyes and such, and thinking i know best, i skip the part about resetting the router to factory settings because i simply don't want to have to put in a zillion port forwards and have to refix the laptop's wireless... (which my mom uses...) so upon wondering why it hasn't worked, i proceed to go back to the help. i get another guy and we chat. after a little while he kinda tells me "oh. yes. you SHOULD RESET THE ROUTER" >-> so i go and do that. problem solved for a while... then a few months later, fairly recently infact. me and mom simply got irritated beyond belief because carphone warehouse were completely nerfing our connection. every day during peak hours from 6pm - about 11pm, my download would go from an 8MB speed (most downloads being about 500kbps... speedtest.net rated my download as about 7.6MBps) to a 20kbps tops. usually 0.1kbps. and guess what. that happened the day when i discovered the Left 4 Dead demo was out... i spent over FIVE HOURS downloading it. the only reason it was that quick was because the second it hit 11pm my connection just went zooming up to 500kbps again xD; but the download didn't get above 5% in the 4 hours before that... so yah. go figure. ANYWAY. we went to tech support again. after much fiddling about and mom being her retarded self (she knows NOTHING about computers. she knows i know she knows nothing about computers. yet she still tries to offer her opinion on technical things like i really didn't think of it before >-> and i have to do it infront of her to prove it's not the problem --; ) so she ends up dragging a chair and the laptop into my room so i don't have to keep running up and down the stairs to talk between the tech support and the laptop... aaaand after going through all the basic details again the guy explains to use some OTHER details are wrong. having already changed that specific detail twice before already, it didn't really bother me. it occurs to me that changing anything on the router and saving it will reboot the router but the guy says do it. so i do. it reboots. guess what. live chat goes goodbye XD it seems to fix the problem. for about a week. i still get it sometimes but it's hasn't affected me that badly so far because i'm not usually downloading things at that time... but yah, no doubt sooner or later it'll irritate the crud out of me and/or mom. it's getting to the point where we're considering changing ISP's... on AOL the service was EXCELLENT but AOL owned by carphone warehouse... they are just abusing us :\

lawl excellent xD and BAD SARACEN D:< but yah i've always held that standpoint with blizzard. this only confirms things XD maybe everyone buying and playing SC2 will actually create a giant universal transmitter through the servers... and all the SC races will invade earth and cause the extinction of man in one horribly epic (but cliche) battle XD and 2012... it's possible something could happen. but for that short of a time the only things i can imagine happening is say... america invading iran or korea, them nuking the US and some secret american rapid-response system throwing nukes everywhere... and all the other countries throw nukes back and we end up in a global nuclear winter which kills all the plantlife off and we all suffocate o.o but once again so many things that could just not happen in that kind of situation. but that's about the only thing i can imagine that would wipe out humanity THAT fast... cos let's face it, the human species are worse then cockroaches. no matter how many of us you kill with famine, disease, war or natural disaster, for every one you kill ten more pop up XD maybe there will be a huge asteroid/meteor/moon/whatever hitting the planet. in various documentories astrologers and SETI and other space watching groups claim that they've only covered something like 10% of space around the sky which they can see, thus they've only covered 10% of objects out there... it's not all that unlikely that they will be aimlessly scanning some space dust and completely miss a city sized rock heading our way until it becomes pretty obvious... they'll probably spot it when it looks like a planet in the distance. or if they are REALLY bad, until it becomes the size of the sun or moon in the sky x3; either way, we haven't got much chance of survival... there were various methods discussed on ways to divert said space rocks, but we haven't really got any of those methods yet besides the nuclear option. and that'll just break it up into lots of slightly smaller rocks which would cause equally bad damage. (need i quote the endor massacre? xD we may not have radiation or so much metal dust in the atmosphere but chances are the impacts would be large enough to wipe out most of humanity... to the point where it could be called "the end of days" or whatever...) aaaanyway i completely trailed off of the point i was originally trying to make >->; i'm betting it's just gonna be another "Y2k virus" thing... they said that was going to be or cause the end of the world xD and what happened? some win 3.0 and win95 computers crashed... xD; yaaah... i don't think that really did any major damage o.O; and the thing is on 2012 there isn't anything like that. all that's there is the MAYAN calander resetting. we don't even use the mayan calander to tell the date so it really doesn't affect us in any way XD now if every religion had some minor reference to the world ending in 2012, THEN i'd be worried... but until someone gives me some evidence why i should be worried i'm just waiting for an excuse to laugh at people again :3

LAWL XDDDD i'm guessing there's a 90% chance that was monty python XD;; (just cos i'm british doesn't mean i've seen EVERY sketch >.> i mean seriously so many episodes and half of the sketches are just **** but that one was a good'un xD)

WW2 IS overdone. but there are so many different theatres of war. sadly most only use the famous theatres... i mean i've never once seen any of the non-american japanese campaigns. like against the soviets or chinese... never seen any french ones... and very few other european countries. they generally only follow the "big three"'s famous battles. i haven't even seen a burma campaign yet :\ yaaaah the berlin campaign has been done a few times. but they are usually too short. always one level which is frustrating :\ but having half the campaign done to it is new. the pacific has been done a couple of times too... thing about WW2 is it truely was a WORLD war. every country was involved on SOME level. not every country was invaded or directly attacked, but pretty much every country helped out by sending soldiers or resources or whatever... and so many of them have yet to be done o.o i mean i would LOVE to see a japanese/soviet game, campaign or even just a couple of levels... because let's face it, you're not gonna get a more brutal campaign then that in WW2. those two countries are by far the most hardcore fighters of the war but yah, generally modern war sims are just overdone. they fall into two categories: americans in the middle east which quite frankly, most people either don't want to play or have serious political issues with... and the other type which is "slight future" as in 5 - 20 years from now where you get the next gen weapons and as possible future. which is generally annoying because every weapon is perfect at what it does. it's all just... too easy. and almost all the combat is done on the other side of the map with people spamming special weapons or high powered rifles... screw that. i want either FAR future or in the past. i mean i'll buy and play modern games but they usually wind me up somewhat... games set in the modern era just don't impress me... they are like training sims or something. you get tonnes of armour and easy-use weapons. WW2 games require a lot more skill... well. i guess it's a different kind of skill... but yah. CoD4 was lame. the only reason it gets bonus points is for military name-dropping... that was pretty kickass.

i guess either to give them to friends or incase he got the online download and doesn't wanna run out of installs? XD also you can get EVERY SINGLE VALVE GAME for $100 o.o including L4D which to say the least is impressive. the amount of titles there... i mean most of the games are old ones but there are a lot of new ones... like the latest HL2 ones... portal... TF2 and so on o.o i mean if you worked out the price for all those games seperately it would cost over $300 o.o so if you haven't got any of the steam games before and are temped, that is an EXCELLENT deal =O but for people like me who have bought lots of things already... kinda pointless unless you want doubles :\ yah HL1 was excellent for it's time... but now the graphics are dated. not massively so... i mean they are better then FF7, but nowhere near today's standards... has lots and lots of mods too... i mean LOTS... including brainbread (zombie mod with classic zombies and different bosses. has about 10 levels and they do have some order but most people don't take notice or know. the control system was pretty complex and you generally had to have it explained to you cos it never told you the controls anywhere... the mod title is a rip on "braindead", a zombie horror comedy by peter jackson in his early years. one of those notorious movies for having over the top gore and grossout scenes. lots of memorable things such as the lawnmower scene... the baby scenes and the kung fu priest "i kick arse for the lord!" XD) aaand the revolution mod (americans vs british. that mod was pretty lulworthy. it was well done but on more then one occassion you would find yourself screaming curse words none stop because your first musket shot missed and you're in a combination of running, hiding and trying to reload whilst half a dozen guys chase you with swords and shoot at you xD) i'm pretty sure most of the mods done for HL1 have been redone and improved for HL2... but there are just so many mods. you can generally find one for everything... that and counter strike are some of the most modded games ever o.o; so yah, HL1 is worth getting if only for all the mods x3 so really you're paying 98c for a good 5 - 20+ games... depending how many mods you like and have the tolerance for dodgy graphics... the story was pretty original too. and was the PERFECT game to have a LHC tested XD especially by a scientist that happens to look like the main character... XDDDD you couldn't even make that shizz up x3;

Best Command & Conquer ending
Mina Synd replied to General Leang's topic in Command & Conquer: General Discussion
hmm... soooo many to choose from. i've seen every single ending except for kane's wrath (which i bought but haven't even installed...) and the japanese campaign in RA3 (because for some reason whilst doing the co-op mode, it just never showed me the vid :\ it did for every other one every other time...) so i should probably try to watch the japanese one again xD; also i don't remember 90% of them... simply cos i have a REALLY bad memory. but the yuri ones were good. the dinosaur one was excellent xD hmm... the RA3 ones were pretty good though... hmm... what was the end for renegade? wasn't it something daft like them getting in a helicopter and flying off? like told the story but overall didn't really give anything amazing... o.o -
that was the other reason i avoided it... there was a game which i was SO tempted to buy because of the unique idea and in-depth looking campaign and such... fall of liberty or something like that... (y'know, the one that had an alternate WW2 where the germans actually conquered europe and the soviet union because churchill was killed... and the story focuses on the germans invading america) it looked AMAZING. however apparently it just had so many bugs and threr were loading screens everywhere which took forever. basically lots of little tech errors which ruined an intense experience... and because the game has already been done, no-one else can try it :\ which disappoints me greatly. but yah... the whole heights thing... that's a major no-no for me xD; i remember playing garry's mod >->; people making rollercoasters then standing at the top and looking down. jesus @.@; for some reason that makes my er... rear place clench >.>; which although the whole situation makes my stomach churn, the clenching isn't all that unpleasurable XD!!!! so i have this slight sick facination with going to the top of buildings then jumping off in garry's mod o.O; (i know. way way TMI but no doubt it will give someone a laugh. because there are a lot of weird people in here o.o) ... yah i think i'm gonna be quiet now before get told off, banned or stalked o.O; anyway. the other thing i wasn't too keen on was the graphics and animation. it wasn't really realistic graphics, but it wasn't cartoony either. and it wasn't anime... so the whole game just came off to me as being kind of fake and plastic in a way that only americanized advertising can... kind of like a huge pink '58 cadillac or something. with the little wings and everything... so there's a love/hate relationship going on there o.o;

oh lordie you guys fail. seriously. i mean what other main WW2 brand games are there? medal of honor? PAL-LEASE. brothers in arms was alright... but it wasn't really a proper FPS. you controlled a team (unless you were lazy or sucked...) call of duty is most definately an awesome WW2 series... 1 and 2 were great. 3 was alright (even if it wasn't on the pc...) but 4 was lame. big whoop, another modern warfare game. i mean seriously it's been done to death. 5 brings us once again back to WW2... and with areas that weren't covered in the previous games (from what i remember...) specificially, the pacific campaign. but yah, for those of you who haven't bothered checking or have been put off my all the negative comments; WW2 FPS, unique health system (rather then a standard 100hp bar or whatever if you take damage, the screen flashes red, stronger and stronger until you die. if you get away from the fighting and hide, you go back to normal. though you do take permanent damage to some extent...) there are other unique things but i'm too lazy to list them >.> basically it covers the pacific island campaigns between america and japan, and later on the soviets taking berlin in the final days of nazi germany. the whole zombie thing is basically an extra feature. you open this feature when you complete the campaign (basically a whole game type unlock). from what i've seen it's pretty much an online mini-game. you and your buddies sit in a fort with unlimited ammo and basically survive against hordes of nazi zombies. nothing major but that's probably why so many people bought the game... unfortunately with left 4 dead coming out a week or two later... REAL bad timing. coz the whole zombie fanbase is gonna be obsessed with L4D for years. maybe decades... the main reasons i've bought the game (but haven't had time to play what with constant L4D action xD) is because of the zombies, the pacific campaign (few have managed to tell the pacific campaign accurately, though the history channel's game looks like a good attempt...) and the fact the whole campaign is a co-op thing like RA3... you can have up to 4 players working through the whole campaign ^.^ definately a first for CoD, and probably one of the first pc FPS's to have a co-op campaign and with that many players... (note i say FPS. a lot of the other games that have done it are either third person or more strategy based... then you have games like counter-strike which don't count at all because they don't really have a PROPER campaign... just maps that are s'posed to be played in a certain order... CoD is one of those few games that started life as a single player, evolved into multiplayer then evolved into co-op...) and just to top things off; luk3us you REALLY can't consider buying WaW because you liked CoD4 xDDDD COMPLETELY different thing. i mean seriously. the technology is just so different between the two time periods o.O; honestly though if the only one you really liked was CoD4 you're probably gonna die horribly in WaW... what with the limited technology and such... aaaand lack of little things like bulletproof armour >->; and did i mention the flamethrowers? the only thing that peeves me about what i've seen and heard of this game so far is the fact of the time periods - the whole campaign is late war. in berlin, the fight was generally heavily armed soviets with thousands of tanks against something ranging between ten and fifty panzers depending on the stage of the battle... and lots of children, old men and very few already half-dead infantry units xD the pacific war still still quite a way from finishing back then but the japanese generally had sucky tanks in comparison to the allies... and in the majority of the situations they were both horribly outnumbered, outteched and overwhelmed with infantry, vehicles, ships and aircraft o-O; the only defense i can see in the difficulty of this factor would be that all the enemies are fighting so painfully hard because it's their last stand... but let's be honest, there's not gonna be the level of sheer "oh poopie we're screwed" factor in these games... what with the lack of vehicles... no doubt there will be a couple of japanese zeroes or some german tiger tanks... (because let's face it, every WW2 game HAS to have tiger tanks in it. dispite in berlin it was close quarter fighting in an urban situation and the germans were so out of petrol that they just had to abandon a lot of tanks...) but it just simply won't be the amount we're used to from previous games... i'll give you guys a full review of how good/sucky it is (don't get me wrong, i LOVE the CoD games and WW2 stuff. but if it blows i will be just as happy to critisize it into the ground ^-^)

yup. think it uses the same code engine or something. it reacts the same to different websites too o.o but yah i use opera too... half of those on the top ten chart i haven't even heard of oO; but yah i really just can't be bothered to get another browser right now... as it is everything is working fine and dandy (or close enough to it xD)

dayum DD you have a closed mind xD once again as i was saying these things aren't possible NOW but how do you know what might happen in the future? anything could happen. any kind of technological gadget is possible, it's just going to take the time and right genius to develop it... and once again, we only use a tiny amount of our brain power. sooner or later we will evolve to use more of our brains, either from creating technical upgrades via biomechanical implants to unlock mental power or from some kind of advanced mental training which we haven't learnt yet. but simply put, WE DON'T KNOW THE FUTURE. so stop trying to claim you know what can be done and what can't xD like it was said earlier, all "laws" and things we hold to be true now are only theories that have been proven correct so far. nothing is constant. any law can change... it just needs the right situation to be unlocked. the LHC might unlock a lot of these laws for all we know. and a lot of the sciences we see in star wars are not that far off to be honest. i mean what is the death star? basically a REALLY big space station with a bigass laser/plasma/BIGBOOMYPEWPEW gun on it. if humanity wanted to make it, we could. it would just use all the materials and scientists on the planet... i mean it's possible but just highly impractical. we haven't even colonised other planets yet so a planet destroyer is kinda pointless at this stage. but military scientists are able to create truely free thinking AI's, they just haven't so far out of STRICT laboratory conditions because quite frankly it's beyond dangerous... there are so many technologies waiting for us in the future. we just have to find some extremely intelligent scientists and physists and put them all in a room with unlimited funds... i mean we probably won't see half of the technologies in our lifetimes... but they aren't impossible. scientists believe the human race will evolve and change because of our lifestyles... either in the WALL-E way as lazy blobs, or as the classic "grey" aliens, hyper intelligent with frail bodies. i mean we're not talking 10 years or whatever but you never know what could happen along the lines in the future... and RAB, i'd guess the different release dates are for 1) the different game parts, the first one and the add-ons/expansions/whatever they are 2) different country dates... i'd say check wiki. the nerds normally update the latest info there instantly so as unreliable as wiki is rumoured to be it's very helpful in the gaming world o.o starcraft counts under the general genre of "sci-fi" but i'm not quite sure what sub-category it would come under. maybe "future war" or something... just remember, sci-fi is a GENERAL genre. same with other ones, like you have "horror" then you have minor sub-categories like "slasher" "creature feature" "shock" "exploitation" "zombie" and so on...

lawl... XD for once three good videos in a row, and all from different people xDDDD and they all hit different veins of humour ^-^ in comment on the anime one; lordie i know people like that. they always get the latest stuff and whine when they realise they have issues because -something- on their system can't support it... like when you buy a 360 and have to buy a new tv to work with it... or you get a new graphics card or dvd drive for your pc and you have to buy a new processor or RAM to actually make them run successfully xD in comment to the second; yet another downfall rip xD; i am -NEVER- going to be able to watch that movie seriously anymore... there are just so many rips on it... and i love that movie to death. it really hits home, straight to your emotions... in comment to the third; funny, but i feel so sorry for that girl xD that must have sucked so bad... AND IT WAS IN HER HAIR D: eeeeew... and was so thick and goopy >-<;; ew ew ew i'm guessing that's from like, fear factor or some kind of candid camera show? but i wouldn't have thought a hidden cam show would go that far to get a laugh... though there was that one show which pretty much died after it's first series because it kept nearly giving people heart attacks and stuff... MOAR GOOD VIDEOS ^-^

loli is always a good thing. right? oO; *gets party vanned* XD; wow. i was scanning down the page quickly and i saw the girl and i caught a half-glimpse of the hotdog and it completely threw me cos i thought i saw something rather different. to the point i said (out loud) "they can't show that on here!" and had to scan back to check it xD; i'm not quite sure where they have taken the influences from for all the different mecha style units... no doubt people will come up with ideas, but they're just generic enough to make you think it could be any one of half a dozen different anime clones xD also i noticed the king oni seems to have changed it's appearance from what i first saw it as on the unit preview page ages ago... it looked a lot more clunky and apelike. now it looks a lil slimmer and more gundam-like o.O which is a bonus. the mecha tengu could be pretty much anything... it's not a full transformation though so that may make it's roots easier to track down... i mean jet form or half jet with legs? x3; if i bothered to check it out i could track it down easily but i'm feeling a little lazy o.o ...oh, how i wish i were asian and were trained, well practiced and ENCOURAGED in manga and anime art skills from birth... even if i couldn't have the drawing skills just the asian appearance would be enough for me ^-^ (god i'm such a weeboo >>; eeeyah...) but yah i've been drawing manga style since i was about 10 or so... so i've got a few years of experience. and i still suck this bad! you'd think i'd be some kind of art god by now or something. maybe if i had focused primarily on drawing instead of gaming... as much fun as the gaming is i'm sure anime skills would have served me further ._.;

... o-O; XD africa has too many countries in it. i know most of the big ones... but there are just too many to remember. i'd probably know them all, but i'd look at a map and go "oh yah i forgot about that. and that. and that." but i would have heard of them before and i could probably put them in the right place... but yah there were multiple reasons why obama was chosen. most of the white people chose him because it was a change from bush, but a large majority (i'm not saying all, not even most, but a large amount) only went to vote because it was the first black candidate... most of them normally wouldn't bother voting... that is what made it so unique. that one election made so many -more- people vote... both ways, generally because they REALLY didn't want the other guy to win xD but yah there are always some exceptions: like that black guy who voted a dozen times and actually admited it to fox news live on election night XD or one of my white female friends who didn't vote at all because of a very complex, indepth belief that the whole political system is redundant right now. (i mean it pretty much is. she got me to read up on how the college vote works. seriously, wtf. a "sensible" person, generally someone rich or with power gets chosen for every seat that their state has... then they vote for the whole state. i dunno about you, but that is beyond dodgy to me. no doubt people are gonna come back and whine that's not how it happens, but i just read that from wiki on the subject... and pretty much the popular vote doesn't matter.) so she see's no point in voting until the people actually get to choose their president o.o i just know my little description of the college vote is going to get whiners, but once again i'm just reading from wiki... either way it's not a very fair method. those specific seat totals just deciding for the whole state? wtf? D: i mean people feel free to correct me there if i've misunderstood it (the wiki was basically just talking about the whole system for all countries using that method so there might be variencies between countries...)

Major Source of Online Scams and Spams Knocked Offline
Mina Synd replied to Sonic's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
the problem is now there is a gap in the market. which means either another spam centre will spring up and create an empire, replacing the last one, or lots more small ones will appear... either way it's a good start at clearing the internet from general hazards to people going online. might as well leave the torrenters alone cos there is no way they are going to be clamped down on anytime soon... but stopping things like spam, IM spam, various viruses and trojans (i'm assuming the latter would have to fall under the right of the firewall and anti-virus creators...) aaand say... those annoying adverts which seem to pop up more often. i can think of half a dozen examples: the page hijacker - it opens up a "sponsor" website and at the top it says "click here to go to your site" or whatever the msn login advert - a small graphic that appears on the bottom right of your webpage, looks like an msn buddy signed in, only it will be a picture of a random girl with a random phrase there... random middle-of-the-page graphics - like you'll load up a page, you'll start looking and suddenly a few seconds after you've started scanning the page, you get this random advert pop up in the middle of the page which follows you wherever you scroll... aaaand those annoying ones which expand when you accidentally brush your mouse over them. msn is fond of those lately. on the bottom of the buddy list... try to click a name near the bottom and OMI GOSHI DO YOU WANT TO SEE THE LATEST NIKE TRAINERS? thankfully most of those adverts aren't real hastles, just minor nuissances... half of them disappear when you click a button on the graphic... but yah, advertising is getting way over the top. generally on a lot of webpages (normally naughty ones) you will get combinations of most, if not all of those advert types. i have seen all before and it is VERY frustrating. especially if you spend a couple of minutes killing all the advert spam only to discover that the site hasn't been updated that day yet so it was all for nothing >_> so yah the things that -really- affect me right now are those annoying adverts. i spend a large amount of my web searching time closing those adverts >_>;;; even filefront has them (notably the page hijacker and the expanding adverts... aaaand every so often you get the middle of the screen one if you leave it for too long. normally like, a survey or a new game being advertised... go figure) -
just for some reason... i get the feeling that a certain freeman clone will screw something up at the wrong moment and create an impossible situation and the planet will be overrun by horrible inter-dimensional aliens. sureeeee we'd all be sitting there going "gah. i feel like such a tard for saying this was impossible" but come on; how cool would it be? XD well. cool until everyone you know gets munched by headcrabs and the few survivors get put into manual labour and slavery and beaten with glowsticks everytime they screw up >.>; eeeeyaaaaah x3;

...uuuh... am i the only one who notices the big glaring fault in the argument here? you're all saying it's complete fantasy and not any of it is possible. most of the technology in star wars has already been created or could be created with the right technology... and lightsabers: not possible now, but who is to say someone won't invent a technology which can control light particles? as has been proven in previous sciences, anything is possible. you're all saying the LHC will open up amazing new scientific wonders and new directions and physics which we never knew existed. how do we know the resulting science from that won't result in being able to control light beams? if we can create and focus them, it's logical they could be completely controlled. it's just far beyond our technical understanding right now. and the force? when you think about it, it's just latent psychic ability. remember, although in an alternate universe star wars is set far far in the distant future... and technically none of them are actually human. so it's possible therfore that they may have more access to latent ablilities then we do. we have psychics as it is... and it's said only -some- people who are chosen can control the force. so it makes sense... just psychic mind reading and telekenesis... once again, a "mystical" science we don't understand but something which may be able to be controlled and used in the future, either through unique training of the gifted or through technological advancement. generally anything you see in a "sci-fi" or other "fantasy" scenario can be created in real life (in lord of the rings style stuff with genetic alteration. but we'd have a hard time changing the whole world into a backwards age... when i say fantasy i generally refer to futuristic things x3) it's just that most of the advanced technical stuff is far beyond our advancement. i mean take... say... a teenage WW1 german soldier just before the somme and asked him if it were possible to have advanced cybernetic beings that were more intelligent then humans. he probably would have written it off instantly as pure fantasy or insanity. then he would have seen the british tanks... seeing something like that the first time might open his mind a little more, though he's still realise it was definately further in the future then would be possible now. we are in the same situation. we have computers, the internet... we have robotics which can move and act on their own. if we tried, we could probably create a truely independant REAL AI brain (though due to the mass of hollywood movies everyone realises that would probably be a bad idea...) so are the things we see in star wars, star trek, stargate or any other futuristic show REALLY impossible? you can bet it will happen sooner or later. the second the chance comes along, someone will get it into their head to make something they saw in a movie that was made before they were born... an american has actually created a REAL speeder bike that hovers and such. but he hasn't dared ride it over 20mph because it's so unstable and generally scary. and that was YEARS ago o.o so let's all just stop saying that lightsabers are an impossible technology ci? :3

i lul'd at the next xbox... the 720 XD if those are real preview pictures... the actual console looks pretty neat... but surely that controller can't be a real preview XD there's just so many buttons on it >>; whole thing is probably a fake but whatever. have you seen all the wii rips? XD all the chintendo brands... (chinese nintendo clones...) there's one that looks EXACTLY like the wii... same console shape... same controllers... same add-ons... then you realise that it's a 16-bit game system with CARTRIDGES that clip into various places XDDDDD and they're actually releasing it as a SERIOUS competitor to the wii over there XDDDD it made me laugh so hard xD

Major Source of Online Scams and Spams Knocked Offline
Mina Synd replied to Sonic's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
you lot (excluding those with the "company" e-mails like CNCNZ.com) must look at a lot of adult material... XD though that said... for some reason before all this i got maybe... like... 5 spams a day... now i only get one or two o.o; i really hope they will do something about IM spam too :\ that hasn't been fixed. i keep getting AOL instant messenger spam of random account names saying like, "you've got a kiss! click here to claim it!" an stuff... that is really annoying >.<; i mean it's not a big deal, but when i actually receive the IM it lags me down for a few seconds and it always happens at the most inappropriate moments in a game >_> but yah that should really help my mom out some o.o i mean she has way too many NORMAL e-mails a day that she wants to keep... but spam? lordie... well y'know. may not affect me personally that much but it's a good leap forward...
