Games you are currently playing? (Spring 2005)
Leona replied to Saracen's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Right now I have only two things on my mind, the first is my beloved anime, the second being my absolute favorite game: Warcraft III:The Frozen Throne - It doesn't matter how many times you have played it; it doesn't matter how many times you run through the campain in Hard mode; it doesn't matter how many times you play it with exactly the same people online. This game is great for me in that where other games lose their charm after a few months, all the novelties wear off, Warcraft III carries on, & I keep coming back to it. Perhaps it is the nostalgic feeling I get when I boot it up, perhaps it is complete, enveloping 3D environment & the excellent mapmaking tools. Whatever it is, underneath everything it is a good, solid game, that has something that a lot of games lose with time. Fun factor. -
Catch Me Catch You - by... (well I cant read Japanese yet...)

My name is the same as that of my cat, Leona. Although there is a slightly funny story behind her name. Origionally we assumed she was a male cat, so we decided to call her Leo, but when we got the details & discovered that Leo was female we had to think of a name that wasn't too deviant from the origional. I then came up with Leona.

Yuri sides also have a tendancy to slow down your computer if it has a low processing speed, drawing all the purple lines really took it out of my old machine before I updated it.
-
Not really, unlike him I don't go around boasting about it, I simply tell his friends what happened. Most of his friends understand what I mean.
-
If someone gets frustrated because they can't beat a Yuri player then they shouldn't even bother playing the game in the first place. Like all the people who go around saying "no yuri no yuri or i kik u", it really annoys me, why no Yuri? Because those people aren't smart enough to think tactics to beat a Yuri player.
-
Yes, I know, but what do you expect me to do, sit back & watch while he tells all his friends how great he is because he beat me at immaturity? I'm sorry, but I can't just do that, I stand up for myself.
-
I just cannot believe you! How could you say these thing about me? You come here & tell this entire community that I'm some kind of crazy weirdo who makes your life a living hell for my own personal pleasure! Well I'm going to clear this up, I'm not a bad person, I don't hurt people's feelings for fun. Me & my brother argue a lot, yes, & the reason I make fun of him is because he comes up with some random crap, never admits that he is wrong when I counter his arguments, then I walk away to avoid taking it further, & the next day he boasts to his friends that he "beat me again." I don't instigate, I don't randomly make attacks on my brother, & all round I try to be a nice person.
-
The only difference between a boy & a brother is that you can choose when to be around a boy, but you get stuck with a brother annoying you all your life. No offence to 99% of the people on this forum.
-
Well, if you're going to do something, you might as well do it right, right?

Yes, the "big bad hunter" really managed to impress me. Well, I was certainly not going to be the one to get him out, I ran straight upstrairs for my camera, but alas, by the time I got back he had crawled out, the best I got was a picture of him lying half soaked on the grass. Licking frogs... somehow I doubt he would know that even licking toads would get him high, most of what he does know consists of "i r hungry, ug!"
-
True, but there was a perfectly good net lying in plain view on the grass, yet still he insisted on trying to catch them with his hands. Strikes me as a bit braindead, but hey, maybe that is just me, maybe catching frogs in your hands is a really clever thing to do.
-
You seem to have excluded the part when you slid halfway into the pond when trying to catch a frog, it seems even one of the least intelligent animals on the planet can out-do you. Makes me really proud to be related to you.

I listen to a lot of music from animes. That particular song is from the 'Chobits' anime, which I have no intention of watching, since apparantly it is very perverted, however I am a big fan of the books, & the music is good too. But anime music is more of an aquired taste, a working knowledge of Japanese would help too.

The Pope is a symbol to the world of the mass coverage of Christianity, a glory it will never achieve again. Like an ever growing number of the world's population I have no particular religon. I do however see religon as a good thing, there is evidence of religon helping many people through problems, it can keep people occupied, & even possibly change people. Religon is still nescessary for today's world to function smoothly, & although it does cause some problems in more devout areas it doesn't really matter what people believe in the end. Everyone is entitled to an oppinion. So good look & a long & healthy life to the new Pope.

Wow, everybody seems to be completely obsessed with loud music lately, you should see what is on my playlist, I'm sure absolutely nobody would like it... Oh well, right now I'm listening to: Ningyo Hime (Forever to give it its English name) - Tanaka Rie

Personally I prefer Yuri's tanks for their sheer speed & manouverability, what use to you is sheer power in a tank if you can guarantee that your opponant will have exactly the same sheer power. With Soviets vs Soviets or Allies it will usually end up with a big tank meatgrinder in the middle, until one side runs out of funds & crumbles. With Yuri you can be sure there will be much more cunning tactics applied to his, admittedly inferior armour & weaponry. To a Yuri player it doesn't matter who has the biggest gun, because it will very soon be them.

Probably best not to ask that question. At 2.45am it seemed like a good idea, I'm beginning to have my regrets.

Are you by any chance reffering to the Remembrance Day on the 11th of November at 11o'clock, which is for the soldiers in the First & Second World Wars? They make a very big deal out of that here. At 11o'clock everybody stops whatever they are doing & remains silent for 2 minutes. Its something that almost brings me to tears, people all over the world showing such tremendous respect. The fallen shall be ever remembered as mankind's finest.
-
Does it occur on the same day annually? I would very much like to add it to my calender. Never forget, people may leave us, they may pass away from this world, but as long as they remain firmly in our hearts then nobody can ever truly die. Their sacrifice is such that they will still be remember past our lifetimes, or our childrens, or our grandchildrens. You cannot take away the past.
-
Anyone willing to give their lives to further the cause of freedom is a hero. Every last one a matyr whose actions should light a fire in the hearts of others. For if one person dies to save the lives of others then though should be venerated indeed. But a simple question to quash my ignorance of the subject, but what does the word "Anzac" mean?
-
That is of course assuming somehow that a psycopathic, homocidal lunatic gets into power over a country with nuclear capability, however how likely do you really think that is? Firstly madmen generally don't end up in poisitons of power, you could argue that Hilter & Stalin were "madmen", but I would disagree, they may have been wrong in what they did, but they were both inspirational leaders with grand design in mind. Secondly America has decided that it is world police force, & now it would be bad for "global safety" to let anyone who the Americans didn't back 100% into power. So all in all, it is not likely that anyone will be put in that situation.
