  1. Hi Koen, I'm having a problem getting the key you sent me to work after reformatting my system. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall tibed2beta3a several times but the key doesn't work. Can you please help or send me a new key or something. many thanks
  2. Hi Koen, I reformatted my system the other day and re-installed tibed 2 but now the registration key you sent me does not work, it keeps going to the trial screen showing how many days are left, do I need a new key?

    Unit Build Limit?

    It's ok now, have found out how to do it. I used a prog called finalbig which allowed me to view the .big file that is created by tibed 2,in the ZH mods folder, and then i just copied the MaxSimultaneousOfType value from a colonel burton unit i edited and pasted it onto the unit i wanted the limit on. As to editing in tibed2 its quite easy once you get the hang of it. its a little complicated as you have to create a lot of new objects, command buttons and command sets for new units and stuff for it to work properly. But if your just changing the numerical values of units and buildings then that is very easy. Once tibed 2 has started you open the window and expand the All Objects tab, then the army or general you want, then just look for the unit of your choice, as well as there being stuff to edit when you select the unit there are other values if you click the + next to the unit. Tip - at the moment you cannot delete a value from a box without it crashing the game, you would have to use a program like finalbig to remove the now empty setting. hope this helps
  4. Hi Koen, I don't know if you know this already but I thought I'd mention it anyway just in case you didn't. When you remove data from a setting, say for example you want to remove an ability from a unit, so you remove the command button from the unit's command set, it leaves a setting with no value in the .big file, where as if there was no data in that setting in the first place that setting would not be in the .big at all. So its as if the game is reading the now empty setting, not finding anything, and crashing. If its posible you need to be able to remove the setting entirely when you remove data from it, so there is no empty setting sitting there. I hope this all makes sense, not good at explaining things, and sorry if you already knew about it. Note added - I put this in the wrong forum, it should have been in technical support, sorry folks :oops:

    Unit Build Limit?

    Hi, I've had a look through TibEd 2 and have tried searching on this forum but cannot find the info I need. Does anyone know how to put build limits on units and buildings for Generals ZH, preferrably using tibed 2 if pos. I have created a buildable reinforcement pad for USA but want a build limit of 1, like you have with things like Colonel Burton and the Strategy Center. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

    Stopping the AI from building certain units?

    Hmmm... I shall try that. Not sure what the command set swap thing is as i've not dabbled in that stuff yet, just been editing unit values and stuff, but i shall look into it and have a go. thanks
  9. Hi, sorry if this is elsewhere, but i had a look and couldn't find anything related. Is it possible in Generals to stop the AI from building certain units and buildings but allow the player to still build them. In Red Alert 2, for buildings at least, you could just put no to the allow AI to build option, but I cannot find an option like that in Tibed2. I found an IsForbidden option and a Buildable option, though I presume that the Buildable option, if set to no, will stop the player from building it as well. Is this sorta thing possible in Generals editing?
