    XWIS C&C1, RA1 and Dune 2000

Thanks alot, the thought's greatly appreciated.
  2. We can't forget the pace of the original C&C and the fact that you actually had expendable troops. I mean, you could get a base and army up in what? like minutes? That, then you could lose it and make another attack in seconds if your economy was good enough. What ever happened to that? Generals is a damn joke, it's all about money, saving money, getting money, fighting over... oil derricks. The reason it's such a big deal is because even infantry are expensive as hell. like 300 for basic infantry. I don't know if it's to add realism or defeat the whole "expendable troops" thing, but I do believe it killed the game.
  3. This really has me stumped. I downloaded the XP/200 patch and set the compadability mode to Windows 95 (since I'm running XP), but I still get this error message "cannot read scenario!" when I choose the GDI or nod campaigns. Then if I choose to try a covert operation it says something similar to "Out of memory". Now, my comp's top notch and not even half a year old, I know that's not the case. Could this have something to do with my Athlon 64 processor? I doubt it because Dune 2000 works fine without me even playing with compadablity modes. Any help would be appreciated. Normally I wouldn't post about this, and merely lurk across forums and whatnot for someone who already asked the question, but I tried that and after searching for about an hour found one person with the same problem that got the usual link to the XP/2000 patch.
