Found out I came top in the year in my ICT mock. Finished my ICT coursework. Finished my D&T coursework. Finalised the details for the presentation I will be giving on Monday about my company.

Have had no problems upgrading my Dell. Have changed the video card added a cd drive, upgraded the RAM etc. But then mine is quite an old one (Win 98).

Yea, whenever I looked at the Microwave tank the game would crash, so I turned fancy effects off and it was fine (using my old comp).

The Monarchy doesn't do anything now except pose for photos and be expensive, there's no need to get rid of them because they are good for tourism and don't have any effect on the running of the country.

Whoops, got threads confused, I was talking about that french site that had the Tib Dawn music. I have flash mx so I could probably rip the music, but I can get higher quality if I take it off the CD.

What? I had no problems with installing/updating Half Life 2 and I'm not confused.

You can just right-click on it and select "save file as", it worked for me...but then I only downloaded 1 song.

Although I'm 1 year too young to vote in this election if I were eligible to vote I'd go for Labour. The economy's the best it's been for yonks and although there's stuff wrong with the country, it's not that serious. The Conservatives don't seem to really offer a viable alternative to me, there are too many holes in their election pleges I still don't consider the Lib Dems - they don't have a solid plan, if they did came into power we'd be screwed 'cos they don't have a clue what to do.

It might just have the high-definition textures that came with Blue Shift?

Well, I didn't play the PS2 version, but by the time it was released on the PS2 the graphics were outdated. I don't know who was incharge of the conversion but maybe they didn't do a very good job of the controls?

Why buy two versions lol?

I agree that the intro was a bit boring, but it really sets the scene - nothing was wrong with the graphics especially at the time. I don't find the movement any different from any other FPS and there's no auto-targeting, you weren't playing the PS2 version were you? The ingame music is ambient, it's silent so you can hear all the clunks and groans to scare you and then a booming track comes in and the adrenaline goes off the scale. Of course there was only one view, it's a First Person Shooter, although you could use the console and put it into 3rd person if you wanted. There aren't any cutscenes becuase the story is developed through the eyes of Gordon Freeman - a quality that I find unique and very clever, you're right in the action!

Why? What was wrong with it?

I can't really put my finger on why it's so good, but it's so fast and there are no annoying "pay us £££ for this feature" messages anywhere.

European version comes with all the manuals on a disk in different languages.

I read an e-mail, act on it, delete it - no need for storage. But it's cool to have a GMail account just for the hell of it, it's a very good e-mail system more flexible than Yahoo and Hotmail.
