Yea, the regular online matchmaking service still works, but chat has been disabled, it's full of spam-bots and cheaters. It's best to play on www.xwis.net because it has chat enabled and there's no cheating.

Well if you can't get it fixed, you could always join CnC Boards - vB forums.

There's no option to set it to anything else than 75Hz on my computer.

No idea about the Core Patch v.1, it'll say over at renguard.com or on the forums there. People have problems playing Generals as well - no software's perfect.

Is it not: Display Settings -> Advanced. Or you might have to use the menu on your moniter.

EA's abandoned all C&C. Although us the fans have set up our own online service and created anti-cheat utilities, unfortunately there are certain things fans can't do - creating a patch is one of them

That's strange, I don't know what the problem could be.

You can't have it in the correct directory or something. Does the map show up on the "Unofficial Map" list on both computers?

Just check out the patch section here at CNCNZ. Also consider downloading Core Patch 1 over at www.renguard.com - fixes some niggles with the game.

I've got a 15" TFT running at 1024*768 and 75Hz with response time of 15 or 16ms (can't remember which). Don't seem to be able to change the refresh rate. Not sure what my gaming computer is running at - but will be sure to turn the refresh up if it's 60Hz. It's just a bog standard 17" moniter.

Only difference I can see is there's a break between the forum title bit and the "Post a reply" bit.

FTPs slow? IE is possibly the worst and slowest thing you could possibly use to FTP things. I love Crystal FTP myself - it's nice and simple, but looks nice and has BUCKETS of features.

Rap does require some tallent - talking that fast is not as easy as you'd think.

Perhaps the little window got moved off the screen, try turning your resolution up to see if it appears.

No idea, but console games tend to get traded in however I've still got all my PC games since about 1995 onwards, however i've really stopped buying games of late.

It does make browsing much faster, but it's for BB users only. Gamespot does cause images to randomly flash about when the homepage loads for the first time, but after that it doesn't. I think it's something to do with the way they render pages; Firefox does it as it recieves the code whereas IE waits till it's got everything then renders the page. Gamespot has a suck-ass layout neway.

We need some more information; what are your specs, what OS are you using etc. Be sure you've got the latest drivers for your graophics card and sound card.
