A lot of GC games are designed for quick burst of fun, rather than having to slave through hours of droll boring stuff *cough*RPGs*cough* which is fine for me seems as I don't have the time to play games very much what with school, and going out at the weekends and so on. I bought Earth and Beyond but never played it, simply because I did not have any time to play it and trapsing around the galaxies trying to earn upgrades was boring - it'd be much cooler if you could start off with some big guns

Well, if they actually used the power of PCs to cut down on the terrible draw distances of the details (eg. tufts of grass) and the slowdown. Granted it's not crippling, but can get annoying if you've got helicopters on your ass and then u run into a wall because of the slowdown.
